Melo : Pull the trigger or not !

Post#1 » by Maroko » Tue Aug 4, 2015 9:04 am

Well i guess it deserves his own thread ! That's not my idea, we got like 3 pages about it in the off-season thread

Haters gonna hate but that's music to my ears

Image

Bosh is 100 times better than melo...

Image

Here what could be our first offer :

Image

And of course if it includes Whiteside is def a NO NO. The question is more if you are ready to give up Winslow or not

BUT HIS KNEES MAN

Image

WILL I BE ABLE TO DANCE THAT WAY ????

Image

In a serious note !

Melo is a true post player and he can draw a lot of attention and we got so many options :

If they doubleteam him, then he could :

- Pass the ball to Whiteside for an easy dunk
- Wade slashing to the paint
- Pass the ball to Dragic for a 3 or pass the ball to wade to Bosh for his favourite spot

Image

People complain because he is a ballhoger but how will you do it with the scrubs he was playing all night ???

My only concern is : if we are going to give up Deng and Winslow then we have no defender at the wings. The Offense is one thing but the defense is another one.

LETS VOTE AND DEBATE

This is stupid. There's no evidence suggesting such a trade is in the works. This deserves nothing.

Anything involving Winslow/Whiteside is a no-no, which they would want if such scenario was to occur.

This right here is one of the reasons this board has gone to hell in recent years.

Because of guys like you ! People were/are debating about it for like 3 pages and this is the off-season.

Melo is unhappy about his situation in New-York, last year he picked the money over winning (this is his choice, i am not judging him about it), his team will suck again this year, same for next year.
This will happen if he asks for a trade, we are not the one chasing him at all cost, this is an opportunity ! If it doesnt happen, then be it, it's not like we are going to kill ourself if it doesnt happen. I didnt add any source or anything, i didnt say ITS HAPPENING ITS HAPPENING, there is like 10% it might happen so what ????

This is a forum and we can talk about it in a good way without you acting like you know what is realistic or not, or good for this forum or not.

Thank you !

If we didn't include Winslow the trade would essentially be a salary dump for the Knicks. Why the hell would they do that? I'd give them the package you posted plus Winslow, nothing more than that though.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

That offense would be amazing but as you said the defense is not there. Whiteside would have to play like Orlando Dwight Howard. Maybe trade for someone like tony allen or bradley to come off the bench or hope j-rich can be that guy.

Then just don't post man.

It's the quiet season.

You do seem to have a problem with Maroko.

tough call.

Melo is a beast but at the same time we have a beast of a bench. I like the direction we are heading currently (w/o melo) but if we pulled off the trade I don't think I would be mad.

Probably should have been in around the NBA or random threads then.

Still it's an interesting discussion for the quietest period of the off-season.

Have you said the same about the Beasley thread ? Or is it the same logic when you suggested that trade by sending Winslow to the Knicks after crying on GB that we were giving up on young players ? IS THAT YOU ?

YOU ARE NOT A MOD !

13 people have already voted vs 2 grumpy posters

If there is nothing to see, dont post.

Lebron already plays timid when he plays the Heat in Miami against Wade. Image what will go through his mind to see Wade & Melo on the same team..

Heat fans are becoming more and more like Lakers fans...So you guys want to lose our depth and defensive sf who has no ego issues to replace someone who has an ego and sucks on defense, who does too much isolation? Give me the former any time of the day.
