I want to rip into you but I respect Cole so much for going platinum with no features and setting up Bas, Cozz (even if I don't like his music like that), and Omen for success. Dreamville is being slept on but their roster is getting strong. Cole needs to start bringing in different types of artists.

Why do you want to rip into me?

Nah, I was not feeling song. Now Bobby the person, I have no issue with. I understand what situation he was in and the hood he from. He was having fun, and the song went viral. He was unfairly targeted by the police as well. GS9 is official in east ftatbush in BK. Before the song, they just a click who get it in. Now... they a click who has access to large amounts of money cause of Bobby now. All the stuff they bagged him on...they ALREADY knew. But it was not that serious. They trumped up his charges cause of who he was. The NYPD had to take them dudes down. This is a real crew...not some rap ****. The police went from looking them on the corner one month....Mad Benzes and Gold and His face is everywhere. Police HATE to see **** that. It was all LEGAL now...thats supreme hate.z He went from the Block, Straight to jimmy Fallon. Thats huge where I am from. Its unheard of, they way it happened with him.

Side note. Have you seen Bobby's gorilla...I mean girl?

No lets play this game. Same ppl saying that record sales matter are the same people saying Eminem is ****. I guess Eminem really is the GOAT.

I don't judge rappers on sale I judge them on skill and whether or not I feel their music. That's it. But people are picking and choosing the requirements for a good artist. Greeny says drake is great and cites his sales then Eminem is **** but he sells a ton of records.

Guess a lot of the populace doesn't feel him. Big whoop. How many street/gangster rappers are even big these days? It's a different time.

I couldn't care less how much he sells in relation to his music.

And he has sold records. Just not to the level of a mega star which he isn't. He's about to hit gold for his first album and he should hit gold with this one.

Eminem isn't in their category. We rank his sales with Macklemore.

and so is Bobby Shmurda. Its did not stop him from having a bigger song that meek ever had. You know why that song was big? cause white America embraced it and played it. That song is trash to the first degree. You sitting her fronting as if you dont know what time it is. If white america knew about currency like that, he would be platinum and a house hold name. These are facts. Dude is a better Wiz Khalifa, with the whole smoking vibe and being an MC, but gets no burn like that nation wide by the masses. Black Fans and the few white fans are not enough to blow him up. He is a niche artist because of that. If was not for white fans Joey Badass would be an unknown on the low. Look at his shows. Its not Black heads like that. Even he spoke on it...the majority of his fans are white.

I've never understood how White people including myself got on Joey. We really don't relate to that dude at all haha. He's nice though for sure.

Man...whitepeople hold hip hop DOWN. I can easily say, that if not for white people, real hip hop would NOT have a chance. These artist would starve. At this point, whites have more respect for the form in in truest form. Mad Young Blacks, dont care about Lyrics... RIght now...You have way more white teenagers banging, WU than you have black teens. Even Europe holds Hip Hop Down more than America. Its why if you are real MC, you can go over there and eat lovely. For the most par,. Black Kids only know whats on the radio. Joey should be HUGE amongst his black peers. He is the full package... We have been programmed to like only what is popular. Young black heads who like Joey...tend to like good music, and not the stuff on the radio.

I didn't realize how true this is. I've got the dudes I listen to who I relate to like the Drake's, J Cole's, Kanye's (college dropout era) etc. and then I've got the dudes I listen to because they are just technically good with the mic The Badass's, Currency's, Jay Elec's, etc. And I'm still banging Enter the 36 Chambers, Lifestylez ov Da Poor and Dangerous, Illmatic, on the daily in the whip. Most of my boys are like this too now that I think about it haha

.... And? Yeezus is ass, TPAB is hit and miss with a lot of tracks, and IYRTITL is a bunch of lightwork throwaways. Not a good bunch to compare him to...

Every Kanye album other than Yeezus > Bored Sinner and 2014 FHD is great but Nothing Was The Same and the first two K. Dot albums are easily better.

We cycle through the same tired arguments and contradictions too damned often. Need more actual music drops, because it's redundant and the same cats say the same ish on repeat.

Short answer: He had Dr. Dre behind him and unlike other superstar white rappers (Macklemore and Iggy) he's good. Not the best but good.
