Good article. Lin will get a chance to play his game the way he wants to, but not all the time. Jefferson is very ball-dominant and I'm not sure whether Lin will play off of Jefferson any better than Kemba does, and that's not a good thing. Lin will have fun with our second unit for sure- Lin, Lamb, Marvin/Daniels, Kaminsky, Hawes should be a very interesting second unit offensively.

Thanks for the kind words Motor. Yes I would agree Al is a very ball dominant big man, would be interesting how Lin and Al play on court together

Apparently it only takes 36 hrs for a facebook vid of Lin practicing jumpers to hit one million views.

Brings the ball down after the catch every time in that video.

That's a good thing:

Anyways, I was wondering what Lin's role would be? Is he going to be a sixth man, because as a Laker, Lin seemed to do well when he was running the team off the bench.

Thanks for that video. That's a really interesting piece exploring the concept of the dip.

My understanding has always been that the issue with the dip is not primarily the time it takes to get it off (though I might still dispute this), but that if the defender has a hand out it can make it impossible to get the shot off because you have to bring it up through the middle of your body.

Dipping seems to only apply to catch and shoot situations. If you're coming off the dribble there's a natural dip anyway.

Interesting stuff, thanks for the video. Might be something to that.

That video you posted led me to this video:

GEE WHAT A GREAT IDEA TO FILM AN INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO ABOUT SHOOTING MOTION IN FRONT OF A DAMN WATERFALL. THAT'S NOT DISTRACTING AT ALL. :blank:

Lin only appeared to do well when running the team off the bench was because from the bench he was paired up with Ed Davis. When paired up with E.Davis and Lin, they would sometimes run the pick-n-roll. The two were nearly unstoppable when running the pnr. Their efficiency were much higher doing the pnr.

When Lin played with the starters, his role was to hand the ball over to Kobe and have Kobe shoot 37%. his other role as a starter was to pass the ball to Carlos Boozer who would post up at the top of the key near the 3-point line -- rather than inside the key. This Princeton offense Lin had to play for Coach Byron Scott is a joke. Team was told to not shoot any threes. But they took a ton of long-range 2-pointers. -which is the least efficient shot-.

Cody Zeller has similiar traits to Ed Davis and Tyson Chandler we saw during Linsanity. I can see Zeller and Lin doing really well together. I would not be surprised if Zeller's numbers increase dramatically.

It's good now, but when he shoots over taller defenders it becomes rainbow and then he sticks with that. I hope he's worked at getting separation and on the long shot keeping the arc the way it is now. For the short game, he'll need the high arching rainbow shot.

NBA News & Rumors: Jeremy Lin Destroys Rockets Fan in Twitter, Reminds How Clutch He Was in Blazers Series

Trashtalking isn't Jeremy Lin's game. Everybody knows that Lin, on and off the court, is NBA's version of Jackie Chan's Mr. Nice Guy. Engaging in a verbal duel, more so shaming people isn't really in his nature

Then again, there's a limit in everything - including patience. When the push came to shove, someone had to respond, and Lin just did that.

After getting a mean comment on his innocent tweet in response to Ronda Rousey's 34 seconds demolition of Bethe Correia, the 27-year old Lin reminded everybody how much valuable he was during his time with the Houston Rockets.

Maybe he's learned some extra confidence and assertiveness from Kobe's example last season.

but Lin kinda calculated wrong... he did not score half of the teams OT scores...
If I were him, I would never engage in any exchanges with those nasty fans... that only adds up distractions, got to be wiser

Lin's turnover in that game only made the game tied. What made Rockets loss in the game was that the team with two stars could not contribute anything after the tie.

Lin scored 7 out of the Rockets 14 in the first OT game and 4 out of the 11 in the 2nd. The 3rd game he didn't play until 2 seconds left in OT.
What people forget is that he shut down Lillard in the 4th quarter of game 6...and of course was removed right before Lillard hit his game winner. But hey...let's focus on the turnover.

I can't speak for Beijing, but in Shanghai the subway was usually the best option IMHO.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

This is like his 2nd trip to Asia this summer... and he'll have to make a 3rd trip in October as a Hornet to play in the China games.
He's been going to Asia every summer since he turned into an NBAer.

Before he was an NBA player, he only once went to Asia.

I expect alot of new Charlotte fans in Asia soon.
