TBT, one of my favorite disses since it was kinda the jump off point for Kiss and Beans

Also, I wonder if anyone can compare to the speed and distance that DMX fell off...those first 2 albums :o :o :o then another strong one...then it was all downhill.

Its not that he fell of so hard vs that people got tired of him fast kinda. The game also switched up by his third. DMX was in everybody face the most. He was bigger than Jay Z at one point. I never was a fan of him. He did not have ill bars,to me.I need more skill in my mc's, but I respected his passion and energy. Thats what got him over the most. He is the closest thing to Tupac in terms of the emotion he put in people thru his music.

His energy was really the main thing for him. I bought in with those first two albums, they were HARD and nobody was doing it quite like that. I was gonna say "at one point X was getting mentioned in THE conversation" but figured I didn't wanna deal with revisionists but yeah, he was bigger than Jay at first. The combo of crack and his act getting old definitely dropped him fast. I seriously can't think of many who faded that fast without some major event blowing their name up.

He's not for everyone but, I enjoy him. Makes sense since I'm a Wayne stan and they are very similar. I think he's real unique and his flow is impeccable at times. Old school and east coast heads hate him though which is fair. Barter 6 overall was meh but, had a few stand out tracks.

Sometimes silence is the best thing you can contribute to a conversation

after what he did to Moses Moody's name, I got DJ K. Perk in a Verzuz battle against ANYBODY

Kendrick is on record saying the first verse of this song is his personal favorite and IDAHIH is the album he claims got him to start writing.
