Also, I am always looking to add more cards to my collection.

In 3rd grade I saw the opportunity to make money by trading cards with classmates. By 4th grade, no one would trade with me because I became known for always getting the better part of the deal. Lol. I knew Beckett values by heart.
Unfortunately, I made some major mistakes in my collection like stocking up on Penny Hardaway and Grant Hill cards. Like one poster said above, due to overprinting, most cards from 1990+ aren't worth ****.
The smartest thing I ever did was implementing a strategy to buy ANY Jordan card I could for $1 or less at card shows. I still have over 1,000 Michael Jordan cards stored at my parents house. But none of them are his rookie cards unfortunately.
But those Jordan cards are the only ones that appear to have positive value today.

I made some mistakes with those cards in the early years. One year they had cards with three players on them, but they looked like they were made to separate into three smaller cards. This one had DR J, plus Magic and Bird as the three cards. I tore them into three cards. I think I read Bill Simmons once and he did the same..I was laughing pretty hard at that.
It is #3 on this list.

Great KJ rookie cards. I'm surprised I don't do the same and collect his cards.

Just reading that line about you tearing the card up into 3 smaller cards made me cringe... I probably would have done the same tho. Lol.

I have a Michael Jordan one that is in a glass frame that was worth maybe 50 bucks in the 90s.

I think my mom still has my cards in some storage somewhere... I hope.

$150 LMAO... Antoine Walker himself isn't even worth $150 at this point.

I still have the set - I will give it to my son when he's old enough.

Nice set, but too bad it wasn't the 86-87 Fleer set though.
Kevin Johnson is my favorite player also. I had a plaque made with his photo and both his rookie cards (Hoops & Fleer). I had the plaque in my room until I graduated from college. It was in storage until my wife hung-it-up again along with my other Suns stuff, when she wanted to create a Suns theme in a portion of our tv room. We moved a couple of years ago, and unfortunately the new house doesn't have the wall space for the Suns stuff - so it's in the attic.
