Free Markieff Thread

Post#1 » by Blkbrd671 » Thu Aug 6, 2015 10:57 pm

Apparently Markieff has refused to talk to the Suns staff and players and wants out..............................keep him the f* away from Marcus. I don't think there relationship is healthy for their respective teams.

Detroit is going to be a "likely destination". I hope not. Unless we are trading Marcus for Markieff

Well if the price is like Ilyasova and a 2nd round pick or something along those lines, maybe Dinwiddie or so, why not
He is locked in a really good deal.

I'm really not too excited about Marcus being on the team, I'm damn sure I don't want to see them reunited.

Don't get me wrong- the price for Morris was fantastic, SVG and Co did a fine job there. But, Morris off court problems and history of on-court issues has given me cause for concern.

Anyone who doesn't want Markieff hasn't watched him play enough.

Sign me up. Jennings expiring and a 2nd would be nice for them. They can hit reset. If he's not talking with staff they have zero leverage. No way do I trade lyasova.

Jennings and a 2.

I would actually take him if he comes cheap. He's pretty good and they will actually probably play better together and both on good contracts.

Markieff is a fantastic 4. I trust Van Gundy to know what he's doing with both of them.

Chicago: Jennings
Suns: Gibson
Detroit: Markieff

Chicago would probably want more.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Told yall Meeks or Jennings for Markieff would happen.

I like BJ but I feel he doesnt see himself a part of the team anyway. Suns get an talented expiring and we can laugh at the coincidence of Brandon Knight and Jennings playing together

I'd rather trade Marcus to whichever team Markieff ends up with and be done with him rather than double the problem by trading for the other twin.

This. These twins have horrible attitudes to along with mediocre talent. Comparing them to Sheed is a joke.

Sheed comparisons as basketball players clearly is a joke, but Sheed had off the court issues too. I never heard the twins being bad teammates either though, just like sheed. Id agree with both of you if Stan wasn't the coach I'd be more wary, but players that are tough love him. Hence why Dwight and he couldnt co exist.

I'll third this one. I'd rather have neither of them than both.

Yeah no way you want both of them here, unless you want to lead the league in techs and coaching fighting. I don't want those two near our young guys, only one if we absolutely had to.

Suns completely screwed themselves and will either need to add value or take back a terrible deal. No one is giving them expiring contracts for a player who refuses to speak with the staff or his teammates.

Jennings for Kief+Archie Goodwin and then bring back Sheed (who they both love and respect to keep them under control)

Kief/Marcus two scumbags but two tough guys that fit perfectly with the Bad Boys moniker

If we can get the Morris twins for Jennings and 1 or 2 seconds then SVG should be in the running for executive of the year
