Is there any real likelihood we can sign Curry now that he's on a championship team in GS? Assuming they continue to contend is there any historical precident for a player leaving a championship winning and still title contending team that's treated him well to go to a lesser team? I know it's been discussed as a possibility in the past but it seems far less likely to happen know unless there's still something going on behind the scenes I've missed.

Yeah, I think bringing Curry back to NC is a pipe dream. Lots of factors here, including the ones you mentioned in your post. The only real hope the Hornets have is the possibility of Curry wanting to raise his kids here instead of on the West Coast. That can be a bigger draw for the rare family man than the lure of a big market.

As for precedent, I assume you mean superstar-level players. I think LeBron James is the most recent example.

Im not sure LeBron should even count, as soon as he went back to CLE they became superior to MIA.

I think that the odds shifted against Curry coming back any time soon after the Warriors won. It could still happen, I guess, but seems unlikely at this point.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I'd offer Lamb 3/14 with the last year as a team option

Actually I like the Curry odds better now that he won. Win a few in GS, the team becomes bloated with all the max contracts because of the success, and Curry comes home ala LeBron. Still a long shot, but I'd put it at 20%. It entirely depends on MKG, Kaminsky, and Zeller's improvement/star potential. Basically Kaminksy has to become Dirk and MKG Pippen.

i see him as good as a prime Iggy or better in a couple years without the need to chuck shots but not as good as a point forward.

elite perimeter D, not horrid shooter, decent playmaker, great finisher. a good 2nd option, an elite 3rd option

I disagree. MKG is at best a 3rd option on offense. he's valuable because of his defense but we're talking offense here. he's not bad offensively, he's just not 2nd option offense.

instead of wanting him to be 2nd option or even 3rd option on offense, we should let him be what he is. a very good defender and rebounder with an offensive skillset that at least keeps defenses honest.

the hornets are doing things properly by surrounding him as well as Al and Kemba with shooters. the problem is that neither Kemba nor Al are efficient scorers. Kemba doesn't shoot a high enough percentage and Al doesn't get to the free throw line often enough. that's why they brought in Batum and Lin. for Batum, even if he's not shooting well he's passing the ball (4.8 apg) so the offense isn't stagnant. Lin is a PG but also for his career has a 1.28 PPS which would put him 3rd on the Hornets team last season. compare to 2014 where that would put him around 5th but only MKG among starters would have an efficiency among the top 8 for the team. it's one thing to score, it's another to do it efficiently.

I'd easily throw 75m$ for 5 years to MKG right now before next summer.
