I've got to admit, being a 49er fan right now is harder than it was back in 2004 when the team was the worst team in the league. At least then the team had high draft picks and lots of personnel changes to inspire hope. I could at least look forward to new, exciting players.

But with a mediocre-to-bad QB who no longer has the benefit of the best non-QB roster in the NFL, he'll keep the team just good enough to be irrelevant.

I feel like the team is in Miami Dolphin territory.


I can't even get excited about the draft because I know that even if Baalke knocks it out of the park the team still won't be good enough to do much of anything in this division. The QB is just that important in this league.

Until they get rid of Numb Nuts, it's like there will be this black cloud hanging over the team. F'ing Peyton Manning! He would've waltzed to multiple SB titles if he chose the Niners over the Broncos.

Blame Harbaugh for Peyton not wanting to sign. Who knows? With Harbs we get to three divisional championship games in a row and one superbowl, but without him we might have Peyton Manning and a stacked defense behind him.

Nah. I blame Peyton for being a b!tch. Now he'll go down as Mr. Choketastic rather than possibly the greatest of all time. Sucks for the Niners but at least it sucks for him too.

Anyone who'd rather play for a less successful nice guy than an @zzhole who's one of the best in the business doesn't want to win enough & doesn't deserve to win.

Ya, losing what 5 out the last 6 games to the Seahawks was awesome! Watching the entire division catch up and pass the team on the field was fun to watch as well! I personally enjoyed watching the offense make absolutely no progress the last four years under the Haroman... And watching the defense lose its once dominant swagger while the rest of the team couldn't hold up their end of the bargain was peer jubilation... Yep, I'm going to miss the completely stale and predictable team (from the playbook all the way to the midweek coaches media session)...

I don't know what will happen with Tomsula as HC... But I do know Harbaugh was navigating a sinking ship and was far to stubborn to make the necessary changes to save it...

As a kid, I was well aware of this risk, so I always wished that I was better than whoever is currently best and they would stay the way they were. This applied to having the hottest girl, everyone had to stay as they are currently, I would just have the best my age.

Trent Baalke actually is a lurker on RealGM, has been listening to Sickness all along, and is pulling strings behind the scenes in order to set the Niners up to tank the 2015 season so he can draft Jared Goff.

More than likely Baalke doesn't ever see this board.

And more than likely we need more than just one player. However, I'm very excited to see this season play out because I think we may surprise some folks and I believe our weaknesses won't be from forecast/anticipation avenues
