People see weightcut Ronda and think she is like 140 or 145. She's not, not even close. She is HUGE. I can't find any picture of her on tuf, but Meisha is probably pushing 150 and Ronda dwarfs her. Cyborg is even bigger than Ronda.

Here is the only picture I can find, terrible angle but maybe gives some idea how wide/thick she is. This is with 155er Chris Beal, most 55ers walk around at 170 at a minimum.

Dude, Chris Beal is a Flyweight.

You were saying earlier in the thread that they would have to be "roided to the gills" to walk around at 150. They are both closer to 170 than to being under 150, for sure. If Cyborg has to be "roided to the gills" to be 150, then what was Ronda on when she (as the shorter woman) was competing at 154 lbs. (Hint: she wasn't on anything, she is just bigger than you think).

My bad I got him confused with someone else. But he isn't a flyweight, at least not as of this picture, he was at 135 at the time. Thanks for the clarification though, I wasn't trying to be deceptive.

Cyborg weighed 175 3 days after a fight. It's conceivable her normal weight is at least that. Rousey is less, but she's got a lot of muscle on her as well. I 'd guess Rousey's normal weigh is in the low 160's.

Yeah I really think some of you people overestimate people weight.

Mayweather who is on his best day is 5'8... has never weighed more than 160 and now you are tell all of us that they weigh more than him?

Call me cynic.

Unless you think Cyborg was lying with the picture she sent with her at 175 3 days after fighting? And even if so have you seen the picture of her with Frankie? Frankie walks at 155 (probably a little more out of camp) and cyborg easily has weight on him.

And Rousey has said she cuts from 150-152 the day before, that's after a full camp, not a normal weight. She competed at 154 in the Olympics, which is just above her ideal condition weight. She couldn't cut to 138.6 because of different weigh in rules from MMA (same day weigh ins).

People have different body types, different frames, etc.

I remember when she coached TUF against Meisha, her fighter missed weight so she got pissed and to prove a point she cut like ~20 lbs in a day before her coach's challenge with Meisha. That would put her at around 155 lbs right there. Granted that was pushing two years ago by now.

edit: Found it, she was 152 at that time. Cyborg is bigger.

NO-KG-AI wrote:So Cyborg and her nutritionist are now both saying she can make 135, when it was supposedly impossible before. So which is it?

Just to clear this up. I'm listening to her nutritionist on the mmahour right now, I believe he has only worked with her for one or two camps. He said she can make 135, he has actually never said she couldn't (Tito did at one point say he couldn't but he's clearly not her nutritionist). Supposedly this guy is an actual pro, former conditioning guy for the military who has worked with Bones/Rory etc. He says Cyborg's camp called him all the sudden last week and asked him for the first time, can Cyborg make this weight (the presumption being they called him after the ufc offered Ronda/Cyborg) and he said yes she can.

edit: Her nutritionist said for this last fight she was 170 lbs on 7/4, and by 7/8 she was 145 lbs. Okay now he just said she usually steps in the cage between 168-170.

Maybe when he expanded on it he was referencing a tweet or an article, but not when he brought it up by saying "that's why that knucklehead should have kept her mouth shut". That was in the flow of the conversation about Rockhold/Weidman and a big event in December. Listen again, that was straight from the horse's mouth.

Ah, you're right. They'd mentioned it like 40 minutes into the show, Jamie had passed him the info. But they bring it up again during the ME, and it is as you describe.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

The way both women are starting to bark now, I think the fight is definitely happening, just a matter of when now.

Hopefully this posturing and trying to milk the most money doesn't drag out long enough for one of them to fall off or something. The amount of eyes on this fight is going to be ridiculous.
