I know I just can't believe it. Just because he was paid 5 million dollars per report by a proven liar in Goodell couldn't possibly mean that he has questionable integrity. Ted Wells, man hard to believe he would ignore all facts and do exactly what the guy paying him 5 million dollars wanted him to do. Can't wait for his next report. I wonder if he can get exponent to do another great science project. Their second hand smoke doesn't kill was a real slam dunk.

But how does that explain the NFL refusing to give out the real PSI numbers for 4 months and insisting that the records remain sealed? Hmm..odd for a league that is out for the integrity of the game. Now why would the side that is doing nothing wrong want to keep the records sealed....it's almost like...nahhh nevermind.

That would make sense if that's what actually happened but it wasn't. Wells did not ask for the phone during the initial investigation he asked for electronic records which he was provided. It does however, make you wonder why Goodell's former employer the Jets, have gotten off easy many many many times. Especially, considering how many former Jets are in the league office (Goodell, Gardi, Kensil, and Graves). Kensil was with the Jets when BB resigned...hmm. If the league's emails are released I have a feeling it won't look good for a few individuals...we'll see. But, I guess I'm just a biased Pats fan as is the rest of the media who is starting to dig a little deeper.

I don't buy into the "NFL out to get us" narrative. What I would buy is the "Roger Goodell is arrogant, a scumbag and a boob". You are correct that the "Out to get us" is ridiculous simply because, he is a pretty decent player, but if losing Richie Incognito decimates/sabotages your team, then your team isn't worth conspiring against. I also think it's too easy to think that since you have put together a dynasty, that people would be out to get you. I think instead, that this whole thing snowballed into a story so quickly, that Goodell took the alleged act as an affront to the NFL, thus himself and his authority. From that perspective, knowing how Goodell loves to act unilaterally and often without logic, then it becomes believable that it becomes a personal mission for him to "put Tom Brady in his place". When Goodell refers to "The Shield", I believe Goodell actually means "My Ego".

and by the accounts from around the league, arrogant label is more closely associated with patriots ever since belichick era started and patriots started believing they could get away with anything. goodell proved his incompetence way before this deflator business, but it is very unlikely he is going to strain his relationship with his best buddy and one of the most profitable franchises of the league over silly power grab. pats fans seem to be the only ones see this likely but i can admit sports fandom is a big pull, up until my teens my favorite teams and athletes couldnt do any wrong either.
