There is still a lot to figure out as we need to know if everyone is playing other than coldbyfletch and jdiddy and the number of teams in leagues and how many new players we have.

I guess the first thing we need to determine if we are set on 13 team leagues, is how many get to move up from D league to Premier? I think the talk was that 5 were going to move down because the league would shrink by two teams and three would move up from D league.

If three move up from D league, we now need to move four teams down from Premier since coldbyfletch isn't playing. Can someone post the final standings for the Premier league?

Last year the premier league had 14 members, and the d-league had 12.

So if this year we're doing 13/13, that's the same amount of total members between the 2.

Since coldbyfletch isn't retuning, that leaves enuf space for our usual 3 promotions/relegations between premier and D-league, and 4 promotions/3 relegations between D and China leagues... Not sure where you're getting this 5 relegations from D-league talk since we've always had 3 promotions and 3 relegations, but that'd be very difficult to pull off either way since there was a 3 way tie for 7th place in the D-League last year.

I got 5 demotions because Premier had 14 teams last year and the plan, as Kerssed had said, was to decrease it to 12. If three moved up from D, and three moved down from Premier, you'd still be at 14 in Premier, so an extra two would have had to move down to get it to 12.

I take it you haven't been reading all the posts in this thread? We can't shrink the league AND move up three and only move down three. If three are moving up from D, four will have to move down from Premier to be at 13, but it would have been five if coldbyfletch was playing.

It's complicated because not all leagues were the same size, some players are not playing, and we are trying to make the leagues the same size if possible.

OK, let me break it down for you. Assuming we're doing 13/13 this year, and everbody besides coldby returns from the premier and D-Leagues :

1) Premier League had 14 players last year, this year it'll be 13.
Coldby is already out, so the 3 worst ranked players besides coldby move down, and the Premier gets the 3 best ranked D-Leaguers.

New premier league total managers number is now 13 (14-1 coldby-3 relegations+3 D-League = 13).

2) D-League had 12 members last year, this year it'll 13.

We can get the 3 relegated premier league managers, plus 4 promoted China members since there was a 2 way tie for 3rd place down there.

New D-League total managers number is now 13 (12-3 promotions-3 relegations+ 4 China + 3 relegated from premier = 13).

OK, you are right. Since the original plan was 12, it would have been 5 down 3 up, but since it is 13, it will be 4 down 3 up, but with coldby being gone, it is only 3 moving down and 3 up.

I think when I posted my original post, I forgot coldby was one of the bottom three (actually this is irrelevant anyway although 4th to last might not know they were being relegated and I don't know who that was).

Or I've just had too long of a day. Just got home from working 13 hours and first thread to open.

But I think we will be at four leagues, which we have been talking about, because so far it appears we have 45 players and 3x13=39.

I doubt we'll be able to get enuf players for 4 leagues since several of the former China league players won't be back, along with coldby, and prolly a couple other former premier/d-leaguers.

Not to mention often the new guys showing interest now often disappear once the draft time begins...

If we do manage to get say 48 total players I guess we could do sth like 13/13/12/10

That sounds good. We will keep the top two at 13, the next one at 12, and the rest can go in the china league at the bottom. I have only played two years and the number of players grew a ton after one year, and we have a bunch of new posters, and it's really dead right now, so I kind of expect to have some more join and don't really expect too many more to quit, but we have at least three weeks. We should probably draft no sooner than the day after labor day.

I like doing it right before opening night, but obviously some itch to do it sooner and I think we did it in September last year.

Well at least it is obvious that Mirvinators is mirv, so he moves down since it appears we go to 13 team leagues. But he won the D league last time he was there, so he could get back to domination.

Ulquiorra won the D-League, Superhuman finished 2nd, Wheezy finished 3rd.

The bottom 3 were : Maystack, 1UPZ, and Miklo (in order from 10th to 12th).

So that is the next question. If those three move down, do we move up four teams from the China league (due to the roster increase from 12 to 13)? I guess that makes sense and I think you mentioned this before, especially since two teams were tied for third in China.

Guys I don't understand anything here. I don't know the system and I don't know what to do. I've only played ESPN Fantasy League and Yahoo! Fantasy League once.

That would seem like the logical thing to do IMO, even if Maystack built a good team that finished basically on the same level as the rest of the bunch despite being 10th, and doesn't really deserve to get demoted based on his team quality. He still has a decent chance to get saved from relegation if somebody else doesn't show up tho.

You won't have a problem. We are going to do the draft in these very threads, with commentary..it's fun! It's just confusing right now because we don't know who is playing again and there was a question of league size so that leaves a question mark, especially since we have three levels of leagues (maybe four this year) and the top teams of each league move up to the higher tier league and the bottom teams move down to the lower league.
