He's got no leverage here. The only leverage is do the Suns want to really keep this guy around the team if he's going to be a drama queen? We have to try and get something salvageable back in return so it may be a waiting game.

You never liked Dragic even half as much as you did the Morris twins. You were riding the Morris you-know-what hard for several years especially the last year.

You argued all year long that their not idiots and morons and now it's flip flopping time? Lol.

Next time, please open your eyes and see what is actually going on.

These douchebags proved their douchebagness the moment they called out fans for not being loud enough after getting spanked by the Spurs at home in like 20 or 40 pt loss or something. It should have been clear to you then.

I liked Goran for a lot longer than Kieff. In fact, I did not like the Suns drafting Kieff (somebody search the 2011 draft thread). While his comments were stupid, I do agree that our fanbase is pathetic at most times. Sad when **** teams like Boston, Det can come into your house and have nearly as many fans as the Suns do. I get it though, most fans don't want to support an average product especially when ticket prices and concession prices are what they are.

He's under contract so we're at no obligation to do anything

Calm down, so I post once in the past 10 pages of this thread that Knoght got more money from us than he would anywhere else and its "a lot of unfair hate"?

I haven't seen anyone else post anything bad about his contract recently. I haven't posted anything bad about his contract recently either.

As for most of the NBA fans (non Suns fans) thinking he's hella overpaid and that he sucks, it's because he has a lot of Javale McGee type moments. It's either stupid decisions or him getting ankles broken by Kyrie. There's a reason why the Bucks fans celebrated as if they just won the title when they traded Knight. Too bad for them their stuck with MCW instead now

Lol. I am calm. Yes, your post might have sparked my post, but everything wasn't geared towards you. I mostly remember the GB when we initially signed BKnight and everyone was laughing saying we overpaid, and I just don't think we did. Though I don't like to argue on the GB because they get horde/hive mentally and just go with the overall consensus opinion it seems like.
And yeah, just in case anyone else thinks Knight is overpaid I'd like to remind them, if he just takes 2.5 more shots per game, he'd have the same statistics as Kyrie Irving, who is an all-star, and considered a franchise cornerstone.

He is going to tell the Suns he has too much animosity to play here. If he is not traded he will show the Suns a different side of him.

His plan is to be the worst teammate and employee possible to force a trade

Markieff plans on showing up for the first time at media day to create an absolute circus for the Suns

That can't be right. Because that would be unprofessional. And markieff is a professional.

So there must be some mistake.

thats a great way to make no team in the league want you

At a certain point, McD should let Kieff sit in on him making calls to other teams to see what their interest is

*McD calls another teams GM*

GM- Hello?

McD - Hey there i just wanted to know if you have any interest in Kieff?

*GM hangs phone*

McD - ......

Kieff - .......

Archie Goodwin has said if he doesn't get playing time, it's his agents job to get him elsewhere (paraphrasing). Bledsoe sacrificed his own and the team's season to get some extra dollars and not show up til he did. Dragic spoke out about his role and blackmailed the team into trading him for something. Morris wants to sabotage the entire franchise so he can get out, running down his value in the process as he's locked in for $32m.

That's why you have management. They're as highly paid as some of the players, and it's their job to set expectations and culture. If you cave in to selfish demands, there's going to be more around the corner. Make a stand, we're not sacrificing a title run if we tell Morris he's playing D-League, the respect gained for the team will be worth a lot more than breaking even in a trade.

that would be swell, except you can only send players on rookie contracts to the D-league. Otherwise the player has to agree upon playing there.

As others and myself has stated it was only a matter of time before
(a) Markieff let's the public and Suns know he wants out,

(b) he'll do it in a douche way that he'll make us hate him... I said that on this thread a couple of weeks back.

The Kieff fans were way too optimistic and weren't looking at the simple and most logical scenario after the Marcua trade.

Also one more person to go... And everyone will either be drafted or traded for by McD...

He is cleaning house.

you forgot Tucker. he was here before McD, and is now the longest tenure Sun lol

I just think that we have to go after young talent. I think there are some players out there in playoffs teams that can be available for Markieff and a pick.

I would go after some second or third year player in the NBA, if he plays PF better, but we have some great SF options too:
Kyle Anderson... McDermott. .....Snell.

I don't think we gave up Dragic for a discount. I feel like Miami paid a pretty premium for him actually.

LMAO id pay to watch that

I think we should sign a vet pf to serve as insurance. Dont trade Keiff coz he doesnt deserve it and he has no leverage. The first sign of trouble from him, suspend his ass. Keep doing this for four years if necessary.

Kieff + PJ for Farid?
Kieff for Sullinger?

I always thought Marcus was the dumber of the two but now I think Kieff is by far the dumbest.

Until his legal issues are dealt with I see teams offering us hot garbage. And McD usually gets decent value on our players so I think he's gonna be with the team start of season.

1UPZ wrote:Goran Dragic wanted to be treated like Steph Curry, he also wanted the max. McD and the FO publicly stated they will give him the max if he commits.... Instead publicly demands a trade a day before deadline. He wanted to be paid and to be the man... When McD and the coaching staff was trying a way to make Dragic, Bledsoe and Thomas work together, sacrifice some individualism for the team... Dragic wanted to be man.

That's not the version of events I saw unfold

Dragic never said he was above the team and deserve to be treated like an MVP. He wanted to play his game in which he played his best and won us games. Instead McD got us in a situation where we had 3 very good guards, all needing the ball to be successful. Dragic ended up standing in the corner waiting for passes and regularly saw minutes guarding opposing 3's when he's already undersized at the 2. I also don't recall McD talking max offers on the condition that Dragic "commits." Dragic demanded a trade after multiple sit downs with the front office to voice his concern yet McD did nothing to address those concerns and instead let things drift until it got its tipping point. When you have a 3rd team All-NBA player leading a team to 48 wins, there's no reason why you should reduce his role and impact his development just to add to an already potent back court.

It's so easy to flip the narrative around and put the blame solely on Dragic "wanting to be the man"
