That's a good think regardless if it is frustrating for us.

I expect no trade and Markieff will have to show for training camp. It's going to be an interesting media day. We'll see if he's the pro he claims to be. I'll give him the benefit of a doubt especially since both brothers said that it is not the separation that bothered them the most.

Last season primadonna Goran and now primadonna Kieff. Whose next one, maybe Knight. Or bad spirit comes from FO.

Imagine how desperate all the media must be in lack of "news" to expose Markieff so much under the spotlight. It seems to me media blow things way out of proportion without caring that they make everyone (players and FOs) look like vicious villains at the end just to make some noise and to push up readers' numbers.

Seems like he's burned his bridge ala Goran saying he wants out. Damnit, LMA, this could have all been avoided if you chose us!

Kind of done. There's other players that can replace him. Im not too stressed. Hate that he wants out but he will be humbled to whatever team he gets put on and is off the bench.

Ah well. Hope we can find a good trade before the season starts.

Another Dragic-like trade for future firsts would be fine except we really do need a PF now. Good luck McDonough

I prefer 2 future first round picks for Markieff (ala Dragic ) than a decent to good PF right now. I think that Tucker can defend and he rebounds the ball pretty well to play a ton of minutes like a modern PF. Warren will have more space to operate on offense.

I'm surprised no one has come up with this scenario, in light of what's going on with TT:

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=omlrrqu

Irving / Price
Knight / Goodwin / Booker
Warren / Tucker / Weems / J. Harris
Thompson / Teletovic / Leuer
Chandler / Len

Or, I like this one even better!

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ph8plkt

Irving / Price
Knight / Goodwin / Booker
Warren / Weems / J. Harris
Thompson / Teletovic / Leuer
Chandler / Len / Mozgov

Gives Cleveland:

Bledsoe / Williams / Dellavadova
Tucker / Shumpert
Bron / R. Jefferson / J. Jones
Love / Kieff / (J. Jones) / (Tucker)
Varejao / (Kieff)

They'd have a very versatile, but more importantly, win NOW team.

Kieff > TT
Bled = Irving
Tucker > Harris

That leaves having to replace Mozgov...shouldn't be that hard, especially considering, in a pinch, playing small ball, Tucker can play the 4, Kieff can play the 5.

Yeah, we lose a bit with Thompson vice Kieff, but gain Mozgov, and with Len able to play some PF, it appears, we should be in decent shape. I actually like that for both teams.

I stopped reading when I saw you place Goodwin over Booker in two different lineups. If you want to be taken seriously, you cant do things like that.

Never mind that three major media outlets have it this way as well. And that you are suggesting that a rookie, who has yet to play a single minute in the NBA, needs to be placed ahead of a 3rd year vet on the depth chart. But hey, since JMac said it, then, well, I guess we need to get the word out... :noway:

I mean, really? I'm the one that can't be considered to be taken seriously? And because I didn't order the 2nd and 3rd string SGs correctly, in your eyes? Do you even think about what you post before you post it?

Anyway, on to less trivial matters. I guess it's finally official. I'm fairly certain Kieff wouldn't have publicly stated this unless he got word from his agent that discussions are in the works between McD and other teams, and he feels confident enough to say this because there seems to be serious interest in his services for the upcoming season. This is about to become very interesting.

I'll say this, though, that while Kieff was somewhat reserved on what he said, THIS statement above all else is just....wow...
"If you are going to do something, do it," Markieff Morris said. "The GM, I've been there longer than him, the coaches, everybody. I've been there the longest, and I don't get the respect to be like, 'Yo Keef, we are going to trade your brother. You are our future power forward.' I'm the future power forward. I'm the premier player of the team. … That's just how business is done I guess."

He thinks he I the premier player of the team? Talk about delusional! At BEST, he's the 4th best player on the team, and that's only due to the fact that Warren is still junior. I haven't read the last several posts in this thread, so sorry of this was mentioned already--had to respond to another statement that also gave me that 'pause' and 'wow, really?' moment...thanks JMac!

I think he got it wrong, it wasn't meant to be "premier player of the team" it was meant to be "premier brother of the team".

I knew it was stupid to let them sign contracts together. That gives the illusion that they're immune to business decisions and that they'll be able to stay together.

Either way, I'm glad to see them both gone.

No reason to go for Tristan Thomas though.

Kieff + Archie + Cleveland 2016 1st for Patterson + Bruno Caboclo

Realistically, it's probably just Patterson for Kieff and like a second rounder straight up

We'd still remain fairly competitive, Patterson is a much better three point shooter, weaker mid-range, but not bad at all, similar passer, similar age, went to Kentucky, and is better at rebounding a tiny bit.

Kieff has a higher ceiling, but you take what you can get
