Nah he got up, walked it off pretty easily. Doubt he's gonna play again, since it's exhibition

Poeltl floater? Do you know when that happened? By the way is he no 33? That's the guy who has impressed me the most(not watching the game with fill attention).

Edit - yeah, no 33... there you go... you can tell he is a "natural"... while JV still feels quite robotic.

Poeltl should be no. 12 on Austria. no.33 on Lithuania should be Arturas Gudaitis, who was drafted in the 2nd round last draft. Can't remember who owns his rights.

Can't remember when that happened, but it was a few possessions after the last gif you posted (of Jonas bad PnR sequence).

Why in the world would you go over the screen lol? You do that and you're chasing your guy from the other side of the court.

JV was dropped far back but by correcting that, the guard would give it up sooner and they would still have scored, gotten a foul or an and-1 opportunity. That play was a lost cause right when the perimeter defender was tricked into going over the pick.

Reminds me of Ross, it's game over if you defend the screen so terribly from the perimeter.

But it's worst in the other setting because the player didn't even use the pick, but dropped back lol.

Never mind! JV made 6 face-ups shots on 13 FGA's (including 2 fouls drawn)! Not bad!  :cuddle

EDIT: Attempted, not made

^That's still Jonas' go-to post move, the running one-hander.

I really like Gudaitis and Sabonis. unfortunately, neither have elite length, but Sabonis has good intangibles and is just smart player, while Gudaitis just plays bigger, if he had more length he would be an elite prospect. Good shot blocking, good movement on d, strong. He was drafted by 76ers, but I think his rights were traded to Kings? I am not sure.

It will always be he favorite. But it's far from his ONLY move.

Yeah, JV was left on the island there, but he did moved a little too far and left paint open. He has elite length, could have contested that little guy even if he was a few feet away from him. Not a perfect defensive play.

I think you either close off the drive or the passing lane, a center cant do both. The guard has too much momentum for any other option. 33 did his best at contesting but that leaves his man free for a drop off if he fully commits. The play was over because of poor perimeter defense. But his positioning needs improvement, I agree.

Big gets the double, player moves into a passing lane and JV gives it up for a three. Popovich would be proud.
