Re: Kieff
Just sucks that he diminished his trade value. Teams are gonna notice he cant be mentally seperated from his bro and arent gonna offer anything of equal value.

He thinks he I the premier player of the team? Talk about delusional! At BEST, he's the 4th best player on the team, and that's only due to the fact that Warren is still junior.
Are you sure about that?

Kieff may be an idiot (no argument there) but he's doing an amazing job of using GM McD's own words against him.

espn discussion with the reporter who questioned Markieff. He's not really a reporter, he is a press secretary, obviously doing Keef's bidding.

I think you guys are underrating Keef as a basketball player. He's an imbecile but he was the Suns best player for long stretches last season. If we go into the season with only Mirza and Leuer as our PFs we're screwed.

I think he is a good player, but he is not irreplaceable. Not an All Star player, not even a borderline All Star. We are gonna be fine, chemistry will be better and we are gonna be a more likeable team.
If we put Warren for Markieff in our starting lineup next year...we are worse or a better team? We don't know yet, but it doesn't seem a big drop off by any means.

IMO we would be MUCH worse, but we will see.

It's a big setback unless we get something back in return. Also our PF depth goes to hell in this.

Re: Kieff
Warren is a wing, he has the body of a wing, he has the playstyle of a wing...he's a wing. He has more of a future at the 2 guard abusing people with his awesome size and instincts versus playing undersized at the 4 (but to be totally awesome he'd have to log minutes at all the spots). He didn't get super awesome in college until he dropped 15 pounds...so he could play faster and more like a wing.
That being said, I'd still love it if we just punted on having power forwards. Len plays it when we go big, Warren or Tucker when we go small or...screw it, Archie Goodwin, power forward in the house. I'd love to just lose, and lose, and lose and lose some more while we absolutely flood the court with all of our prospects and try and jack up the possessions and the variance. Fun way to get the #1 pick.

Yes, I know that Warren is an SF, but we have Tucker to play PF in that lineup. Offensively Warren would be or PF, playing ala Marion/Jamison without the ball and near the rim and Tucker would be open on the three point line or going hard to fight offensive rebounds.

That guy sounded like a huge Markieff supporter to me. He even said he thought Detroit would be a great landing spot for him since Marcus is already there. Then he talked about how other players that were traded badmouthed the Suns on the way out too. That is a joke. He mentioned Isaiah Thomas. People need to be reminded something about Thomas. The Kings were ecstatic to get rid of him. They did not even make an attempt to keep him. He was their starting point guard and they wanted nothing to do with him. Don't people see the trend here? Even so, Thomas never badmouthed the Suns anyway. All he said was that it was not what he expected.
Besides the Morris brothers and that thing with Dragic coming out nowhere and complaining last year, no one has said anything about the Suns really. Green's agent responded to Hornacek's comments but Green never said anything about the Suns personally. When Frye talked about the Suns, he was responding to Sarver's comments about the negotiating process. Plumlee never said anything.
This reporter saying Markieff is tired of all these players getting traded and he wants to go somewhere where he can win is ridiculous. News flash Markieff, YOU SUCKKKKKKKKK. You know why? Because whatever talent you have is negated by the fact that you are a complete idiot. You have no idea what it means to win in this league. Your IQ is low, you complain about everything, and your play is inconsistent. The Suns never knew if Markieff was going to have 25 points and 8 rebounds or 8 points and 5 rebounds. Yet he called himself the premiere player on the team. The Morris brothers need a wake up call because the size of their egos far exceeds the quality of their game.

Re: Kieff
Maybe we can work out a deal for Tristian Thompson. I'd say do that in a deal for Kieff and Tucker.
I know people aren't 'max deal' high on Thompson but we aren't going to have a ton of options after this season for us to sign. We could give him a 4 year deal with 4th year a player option. Maybe close to max but not full.

Re: Kieff
An alternative option would be to trade him for cap space and picks.
Sign Boozer.
Take a couple steps back use our cap space to help teams facilitate trades again. Perhaps we struggle and get a middle lottery pick.

Re: Kieff
As Suns fans, we should hope he's simply upset with how Marcus was traded. Teams would be more open to a player who felt disrespected than guy who can't play without his brother.

That is exactly what I said yesterday and I do not even like Boozer. But having Boozer as the starting power forward sure looks a lot better than Markieff right now. Boozer put up decent numbers last year and would probably benefit by playing with point guards that are play makers.

Re: Kieff
If you guys didn't see this already, Pelton gave his trade ideas.
I'd take the Lakers or Blazers deal first if they were on the table.
Boston Celtics
Offer: F Perry Jones, F/C Jared Sullinger, F/G James Young, possible draft considerations
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Charlotte Hornets
Offer: G Brian Roberts, PF Cody Zeller
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Los Angeles Lakers
Offer: G Jabari Brown, F Ryan Kelly, PF Julius Randle
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Portland Trail Blazers
Offer: PF Noah Vonleh
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Toronto Raptors
Offer: PF Patrick Patterson

If we receive two first round picks not heavily protected I would be happy enough even without a good PF on our roster.
We are gonna have options out there... Jeff Green from Memphis it's seems a good option. Cody Zeller from Charlotte too. Patterson from Toronto. And Chicago has some players that can be great here and their value around the league are not that high ( Gibson, Snell, Mirotic, McDermott. ...).
McDonough knows his thing, I hope he will bring good return here.

Randle from the Lakers? Wow. I would do that trade immediately.

I don't think Randle or Vonleh are available in a trade for Markieff.

Are these trades for Kieff only? Because, I can't see LA giving us Randle for Kieff without something else going to LA. I'd absolutely love that trade, though.
