Well, it's confirmed we have no Christmas game. No shocker there.

We will probably open against Philly or Orlando on the road with a home game against Miami.

The last two times the Nets played on Christmas day they embarrassed themselves. Like most of the times they were on national television during the D-Will era. If you're Adam Silver you don't want embarrassing games like the ones we saw vs. Boston and Chicago on your big holiday special.

We'll probably be relegated to NBA TV games only. No TNT, ABC, or ESPN appearances either this year.

Chi - Win. (1-0) Home openers favor the home team. Chicago allows Brook to play big
at SA - Loss. (1-1) Nets suck in San Antonio
at Mem - Loss. (1-2) 2nd game of back 2 back
Mil - Win. (2-2) Milwaukee wasnt good after the Brandon Knight trade. This is the 2nd game of a back to back for them.
at Atl - Win. (3-2) Atlanta's 2nd game in back to back. I think they will miss Carroll, Antic and Scott alot.
LAL - Win. (4-2) LA has a lot of new guys.
at Mil - Win (5-2) Milwaukee on 2nd game of back to back.
at Hou - Loss (5-3) Could win this if RHJ can defend Harden. We will be coming in off of 3 days rest.
at Sac - Win (6-3) Kings are still going to be bad this year.
at GS - Loss (6-4) Blowout loss
Atl - Win. (7-4) At home. I dont think Atlanta is going to be that good this year.

The first 11 games are roadkill but atleast we have the tougher part of the schedule early rather than late during playoff seeding time. The rare 6 game homestand should off set some of these stretches.

It's not that hard.

Chicago has a new coach and system. Going from the best 2nd best coach in the NBA to an unknown.

Atlanta has Korver coming back from 2 surgeries. The first game vs them has them on the 2nd night of a back to back. WIll they take it easy with him? Probably. They also lost DeMarr Carroll who was a Net killer, Antic who gave Lopez fits, and Mike Scott is likely to be suspended.

Milwaukee finished 11-18 (37.9% winning %) after the Brandon Knight trade and had major roster turnover. Zaza and Illyasova are both guys who light the Nets up.

Sacramento didnt really make any moves to get better

LA turned over most of their roster. I have us losing to San Antonio, Memphis, Houston and Golden State. All on the road. The rest of those games are winnable.

We have a brutal beginning and brutal end to the schedule this season, including that road trip. This is going to be a tough year, but will be interesting to watch. If we wait til the all star break to play well, we'll be toast this year, that's for sure.

That 2nd game against the Bucks we're also on a back to back.
The Bucks weren't great after trading Knight, but getting Monroe will help. I don't love the fit there and don't think he will make as big a difference as some people think, but he will undoubtedly help some.
Atlanta won 60 games. We won 37. I don't see how we bridge the gap just because they lost Carroll. Antic will be replaced by Splitter. Carroll is the only big loss and it's not enough to suggest we beat them in our 1st two meetings.

I can't look at those 4 games and think we win them all.

I like that we are getting the tough games out of the way early vs the west... I can live that...

Monroe has big shoes to fill. Zaza and Illyasova pounded us. Zaza had a 22 pt/21 reb/7 ast game vs us. Illyasova 20/13 and 21/5. Im glad to see them leave, especially Illy. Im not a big believer in MCW being able to play winning basketball. The Bucks were a matchup nightmare for us last year because of their athleticism but we are much better in that department this year. They will be figuring things out to start the season. Those should be relatively easy wins.

Atlanta is going to be a mess at the start of the season after finishing the season shaky. They had a lucky season health wise but that is starting to catch up to them. Korver is still rehabbing and isnt a sure thing for training camp. Being 34 doesnt help. Scott was suppose to replace Antic, not Splitter, but he is going to jail for a long time. They use to kill us by putting in bigs who can hit 3s. They dont have that anymore. Splitter is just a guy, hardly a difference maker. Sefolosha is still out after surgery on his broken right leg. Their is a good chance we are going to see Tim Hardaway Jr filling in for Korver and Bazemore filling in for Carroll and their depth after them is extremely suspect.

Last offseason was chaotic for us. The whole Kidd ordeal put us way behind in implementing Hollin's system after building the roster around Kidd's style of play. Lopez didnt start walking until training camp. DWill was coming in off of ankle surgery. AK was still here and he had a bad back. It took half the season to learn Hollins system and what he wanted.

This is the first off season in years that we can actually build on what we did last year. The best thing the Nets have going for them right now is health. The only people coming in off surgery ar Karasev and TRob. Lopez is coming into the season healthy for the first time in years. Johnson dealt with tendentious in his knee due to overuse last season but that is remedied with rest not surgery. Hell even Bargnani is coming into this season in good health. Most of the guys are playing for their next contract and their roster spot so I expect everyone to come into camp in top shape. This will be our most competitive training camp in years.

^love the confidence. Hopefully continuity, health, and having guys that actually want to play for each other and win will make a difference. But we just have too many D-Tier guys on our roster right now, we're going to come up short most nights due to talent.

Oct. 28 Chicago 7:30: LOSS
Oct. 30 at San Antonio 8:30: LOSS
Oct. 31 at Memphis 8:00: LOSS
Nov. 2 Milwaukee 7:30: LOSS
Nov. 4 at Atlanta 8:00: LOSS
Nov. 6 Los Angeles 7:30 Which one?
Nov. 7 at Milwaukee 8:30: LOSS.
Nov. 11 at Houston 8:00: LOSS
Nov. 13 at Sacramento 10:00: WIN
Nov. 14 at Golden State 10:30: LOSS
Nov. 17 Atlanta 7:30: LOSS.

Outside of the Clippers game that is pretty damn soft.

Portland, Denver, Philly, Minny are all lottery teams.
