Glad they gave us a game that's actually winnable.

Good stuff, will atleast be a competitive game to start the season and tough start for both Towns & Russell going against Hibbert and Rubio.

It will be awakward if The Lakers aren't on TNT to start the season... But knowing the match up it's probably a local scheduled game.

this should be a win. although Wiggins and Bennett are reportedly slowly becoming monsters in their own way. but I doubt Kobe wants to lose to the Wolves first game of the year.

Usually it's a Tuesday or Thursday the season starts.. My guess is we play the second night, which is different.

Wow, what an insult. The Lakers are the marquis franchise in the NBA, and just because they've had a couple of rough seasons due mostly to injuries all of the sudden we're relegated to opening the season on local TV against one of the NBA's perennial bottom feeding franchises?

Lakers should be opening the season with a nationally televised contest against a real basketball team. They still have Kobe Bryant, and they are still the most popular team in the NBA. I would hope that being that this could be Kobe's last season that the association would do all it can to celebrate him and his Hall of Fame career and feature them on as many nationally televised games as possible. Opening the season against a scrub team like Minnesota is total BS if you ask me.

LD14- I'm sure the Lakers are gonna be nationally televised even though it's the Wolves.. I would be shocked cause everyone wants to see how Russell does and I'm sure the NBA feels the same way so I'm expecting the Wolves game to be on ESPN or TNT any potential superstar #2 pick is a good draw for the national audience.

And I'm sure TNT wants to see Towns and Russell battle it out.

With this being an opening day matchup, networks are obviously trying to move past the Kobe show. They want to highlight Russell, Clarkson, and Randle vs KAT, Wiggins, and LaVine.

We should do a joint Game Thread with the T'wolves board. Classy fans there and worked out in the past.

Yeah but my harsh critique of their team made a lot of them pissed. Even their mod had to tell them not to quote me. This game is going to opening night and I'll be in battle mode on the post.

Here let me start it off....

Minnesota ain't that good.
