Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I thought he could have gone to a contender, potentially the clippers.
I guess it's good he got a deal at all. good luck to him.

When Tay turned down the Clippers to resign in 2011 it was rumored it he doesn't want to play in LA because of past associations there.

Maybe this will actually make Tayshaun humble for once in his life

He wont even touch the floor for the Wolves not with Wiggins/Shabazz taking up all the minutes at SF

That's what he gets for being an entitled punk since he signed his big extension with the Pistons all those years ago

Rumor was Cavs were interested in him but he was asking for too much. So instead of going to a contender now he is stuck on the Wolves

He signed for the vet min. He can play SF & PF.

When you're a veteran with their skills in steady decline that is unabashed about not being a vocal mentor, your options get a lot more limited.

Saunders must have thought he was getting 2006 Tayshaun Prince.

That's just an odd choice for Tay. They don't have an obvious need at the position and they aren't contenders. I would have thought he would have gone to either extreme - ie team where he had a bigger role or contender where he could play a small role.

Tay has always been a bit of a strange duck, but I still have to wish him well. It's all winding down for him now. I appreciate that he brought what he had to the team for a long time. The buffoonery incident was regrettable, but who can deny that he wasn't entirely wrong either. I guess it all part of "riding off into the sunset."

After all that whining about not wanting to mentor young talent and crying to go to a contender, he does this. Lol, whatever.

Good luck I guess.

He is a punk b***ch

He didnt want to go to the Clippers who basically begged him to sign multiple times

He wanted to go to the Cavs but only if they paid him more than the veteran minimum

He stated numerous times, esp when he was traded back to the team that drafted him and gave him that gigantic deal he arguably didnt deserve at the time when he was on the decline, that he didnt want to mentor young players

In the end his greed got the better of him and he signed up for the only team that would pay for his trash play and bitter nasty attitude
