He absolutely will play a role and anyone who listened to Favre/Eberl during the whole preseason knows that this will be the year the young guys get their chance.
They stated that we've got to keep 16/17 and 17/18 in mind and need to have a good team for those seasons as well, which means younger guys will gain experience this season.

Anyways, there's at least one positive thing for us.
We won't lead the league after the first day. The last two times we did that we were relegated.
So I guess we'll have a good chance staying up.

Look, man we are fans of the teams we are fans of. Bayern has largely been dominant recently so that means we should stop watching? Lmao.

This is football, half the fun is transfers and watching your team improve over time. There are many good match ups in the Bundesliga as well. Lots of great football.

Also I'm not German, and several others here aren't either.

And CGF's club doesn't play in the first Bundesliga, so Bayern can't beat him.

Keep being ignorant though. It's a good look on Porto fans.

Looking for a real waste of time? Try becoming a Knicks or Raptors fan.

You know, the big problem with having a very limited team is, no matter how good their coach is, that they are very limited. That will eventually show when it really matters. It did, we didn't win the title.

But that's not on Favre.

What exactly are you trying to say here? The team didn't deliver in the last games of that season, they weren't ready. There are no excuses for losing games like the Karlsruhe game but there is an explanation for it and it has nothing to do with Favre. It was on the team, not on Favre. If anything, the city of Berlin should be thankful that he took that team so far (and we are).

There's a cute irony to a portuguese fans mentioning a lack of parity in any other league. Has a team other than Porto/Sporting/Benfica won your league, ever? Nevermind that who wins the title doesn't change the quality of the games that happen between the start of the season and the end of it.

Which is the part that's always weirdest to me about this critique of the BuLi. Do these people not actually enjoy watching football, only following the sport for the results? WTF is the point of that? I mean maybe we're just spoiled by all of the attractive football we get to see every week and so can't understand what it's like following a league where the games are so painfully boring that the only thing that is of the slightest interest is the result. But why even care about the results if the football leading to them is so awful?

I watch first league matches because I am entertained by teams playing attractive football at a high level, because it makes me miss the homeland less, and because I've grown fond of certain coaches/clubs, while being curious how teams that we had played the previous season in BuLi2 do against the big boys. But I cared a lot less about the first league when the football was a lot worse 10-15 years ago.

Yeah, I hope so, because **** Goodell and the NFL for making us the witch, but if it isn't, I guess Jimmy G will have to step up big time.

I understand we probably cheated in some way, but this is such a minor thing that it really pisses me off. Its a few psi of air in a damn ball, and the investigation wasn't even conducted properly. Also, every team in the league is cheating constantly I'm sure, albeit probably with varying degrees.

Just a clusterfck. Goodell needs to go.
