The minor league season ends in like two weeks though. Even if Pompey gets called up, it's not like he's missing a whole lot of development time.

Hmm, so why did we get rid of Danny V again?

I would guess they wanted somebody who could actually play the OF, not a butcher with no range.

A pure RHB OF (Heisey?) would seem to make more sense because of Revere, but perhaps it will be him.

Apparently Pompey is injured. Never even heard about that but assuming it's heisey , doubtful it's a bullpen arm.

Heisey would seem likely, though oddly his numbers against lefties are basically on par with Revere's...their career OPS vL is .001 apart.

Of note, Heisey isn't on the 40-man roster so someone would have to be removed for him to be added. I do like the fact that he can potentially play LF/RF and a mediocre CF. That's what your 4th outfielder should be. A guy who can sub in at all 3 spot and not be incompetent when doing it.
