All time Piston leaders. Drummond already making an impact.

This kind of blew my mind. I was trying to find out who holds the single season scoring average record for Detroit (I still don't know. I think its Stackhouse but I digress...)and I stumbled upon the link above. I can't believe where drummond already is scattered among the lists, particularly in the rebound department. I don't think there is any question in my mind now (I hadn't even thought about this before)that Andre Drummond is without question going to top every single rebounding catagory in Pistons history.

Scroll thru them and enjoy the history, and indeed the upcoming history making in progress.

Good find!

And the scariest part is that Drummond can be an even better rebounder under SVG's tutelage as he doesn't always box out his man or use his body in the best way. He needs a fire lit under his ass and I'm really hoping we see that this year.

I was going to be pretty shocked if he was already top 10 in total rebounds, which he isnt. He is top 10 in offensive rebounds already which is impressive, but Bill, Dennis, and Ben all have more than double of what Dre has so far so he still has a long ways to go.

Check this out, and you will be shocked guaranteed.

Top rebounders in Pistons history.

1. Bill Laimbeer. Pistons leading career rebounder with 9430. He has only three seasons over 1000 rebounds, and the first coming at age 26

2. Bob Lanier. Pistons #2 leading rebounder with 8063. He has only three seasons over 1000 rebounds, and the first coming at age 23

3. Ben wallace. Pistons #3 leading rebounder with 7264. He has only four seasons over 1000 rebounds, and the first coming at age 26

4. Dennis Rodman. Pistons #4 leading rebounder with 6299. He has only five season over 1000 rebounds, the first coming at age 29

That's the top four Detroit Pistons rebounders in team history.

Andre Drummond. In 3 seasons he already has two 1000 rebound seasons, the first coming at age 20. He also has the lowest mpg in team history to grab a 1000+ boards in a single season at 30.5 Andre Drummond is also not even close to entering his prime when rebounders get thier highest totals. After this season (his fourth) Andre Drummond will be 10th all time replacing Prince, and after next year he will be fifth all time in just 5 years at age 24

I haven't gone thru nba totals yet, but if I recall correctly he's the youngest player in NBA history with these rebounding totals.

Andre Drummond is a rebounding machine and will be (unless trade or injury) the Pistons all time leader in rebounding in all little as 8 years. (Will be by 10 years)

Not to mention he is already tied at 11.8rpg for first. His rebounding is crazy good.

drummond rebounding numbers should spike up without monroe as he'll be the only man in the paint.

You never know what will happen but that's impressive.

Hopefully the work ethic of SJ & KCP rubs off on him and he becomes the most dominant C in the league.

If you classify Davis as a PF it shouldn't be too difficult for Dre

I came here to do two things: get lost and slice **** up & I'm all out of directions.

Butler removing rearview mirror in his car as a symbol to never look back

Pretty cool huh? That 04 team was pretty damn special and they were 3 minutes from back to back.

All over those lists.

Those guys also got advantages over Drummond because they were all playing deep into the playoffs or even finals as well to grab even more boards.

Sporting News article that's relevant to the discussion:

Some interesting comparisons.

Andre does this better then anyone else in the league (more then doubled DeAndre jordan #2)and as stated in the article it's because he is bigger and faster then anyone else.

This is why I state unequivocally that if Andre plays 36-40mpg for a whole season he will average rebound numbers the nba hasn't seen since rodman (91' 18.1rpg) or even the 60's when the last person to average 19rpg happened. In this he will also average right around 17-20ppg.

He is an animal around the rim and with Stan's system in place, we are going to see games out of him this year that will blow people's minds. I'm talking 20/30 games.

This year is going to be awesome.
