Don't see many potential superstars, but we have like 6 potential all star level players. We just need to let them grow. Have to remember Hennigan is banking on work ethic, so it will take some time.

Our team is going to be fun to watch with AG, Henzonja, Payton, Harris, and oladipo in transition. I think defensively were going to be a tough match up for most teams.

The only disappointment I have is New York taking Porzingis before us. Porzingis looked like the perfect fit at PF next to our forwards and Vucevic. I had no real preference after that. I was good with whoever Henny took. I was just shocked Hezonja was the pick.

Is the community satisfied with our draft

I do think we should prepare ourselves for Hezonja having limited impact this year. Five young starters trying to make a name for themselves plus Fournier on a contract year means he's got a lot of hungry players in front of him. Skiles will also be a stickler on defense and we don't know how quickly he'll pick it up.

I'll be looking for efficiency in limited minutes. Plus the ability to take over and win a game or two like we saw with Elfrid early last season. I need to see that "it" factor even if he has a couple games where he only scores 5 points.

for me... KAT was the only player I can outwardly say I ranked over hezonja.... after him... everyone has the deficiencies and short comings. Hezonja has the talent and even has a similar work ethic/mentality as most of our players (maybe a lil more intense in his approach but essentially on the same path). In MY opinion... he has a high floor... and probably a ceiling as high as anyone in this entire draft. So yep.... I am very happy with our selection... compared to any of the players listed in the OP. Though Myles Turner was intriguing and worth a trade down look see. But at #5 I jumped for joy when we got Mario!

What if the intensity that Mario has is immediately channeled into defense? Everyone will be on the same footing with Skiles in learning his principles. It's not like Hezonja will be the only newbie to what Chucky teaches. And if the understanding among all of the players is that minutes are earned with defensive competence, it may be that Mario gets really good at it in order to get on the floor. He has the physical tools and I get the impression that Skiles really likes him.

I think it's more likely that Mario develops into a plus defender than that he develops a highly deceptive handle. His national team just used him to defend Schroeder in the Germany games because he's quicker than the Croatian point guards.

I wanted Hezonja or Porzingis. So yes, I am definitely satisfied with our draft.
