I agree. $250,000 is nothing for Ballmer to lose sleep over, but it's curious that the Lakers weren't similarly punished since it was reported that their pitch to LaMarcus Aldridge was centered around business opportunities beyond his basketball salary. The purple-and-gold pitch focusing on superficial aspects outside of basketball is what led to Aldridge initially thumbing his nose at their proposal.

One could say why bother kicking the Lakers while they're down, but if the league were truly interested in stopping teams from making these sales pitches, they'd be consistent in their investigation and punishment when word leaks out about such instances, which leads me to suspect Fegan's camp of leaking the details of the Clippers' pitch and practically calling for the NBA to fine the Clips.

It may not be a big deal in terms of impact to resources, but it seems clear to me that Fegan is going down the Falk road of being a constant thorn on our side, which is why I don't want any Clippers--present and future--to be represented by this a-hole.

Whoever though it was a good idea to include any kind of pitch like this in an actual FA meeting missed the first rule of salary cap circumvention. Just a dumb mistake.

I guess the Clippers did cross the line but my point on Dan Fegan stands. Fegan's current access, however limited, into the organization should be cut off immediately in order to prevent him from using such info to later throw a monkey wrench into our future endeavors. Under-estimating a Falk-in-the-making left us holding the bag (Baron Davis) in the aftermath of the betrayal by Elton Brand.

Glad to see DJ and the Clippers disassociating themselves from Dan Fegan and his agency. Unfortunately, he still gets his commission from the DJ extension with the Clips. It's also interesting to note that LaMarcus Aldridge left his agency this summer going from Wasserman Media Group to Excel Sports. Excel Sports' clients includes Blake Griffin, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Love.

So I guess this settles who snitched about the Lexus deal that costed Ballmer a quarter of a million. Either Fegan knew he was getting axed by DJ and went out with a bang, or he got fired because of it. Either way he's a sneaky little rat.

It'll be fun next time the Clippers are interested in signing a player represented by Relativity and the player wants to come here. See who despises who more lol
