Trades in the opening days of the draft have been important to more than one of my past squads, and I won't be able to do that. It's not about how long it takes to make a 1st round pick. It's about having to time to do things right.

But at this point, you're holding things up because you want things just right. And the ironic thing is if we start on the 10th, we'll be cutting it so close that there will be little to no time for trades, so not only will you not get the trade opportunities you're referencing here, but neither will the rest of us. What's even more irony is if you had chosen a number we would've had the lottery by now and you would've had more than ample time for trades.

I've said it before...last year I needed the draft changed because of my hectic travel but I didn't get it, and it worked out fine. I just don't see why we all have to wait for one person

You got a strong point here
+1
The thing is floppy can also say " worked out fine ? did you make the playoffs ?"
I m just jkn right now its just 2 frustation ... Floppy someone got to realize The wrost thing that can happend is the final 250´s picks being made when the pre-season games starts BTW Oct 2, 2015
10:30 PM ET and we will never finish by then. That being said imo The draft got to start september 1st just to at least try to finish before oct2.

I m not saying floppy need to retire from ffl or mod but he got to realize he either adapt or can´t stall 19 other gm.

I don't have time to debate this so I'll just say this: I'm not holding anything up. If the league doesn't want to shift any dates I understand totally. If that's the case, simply replace me.

Just got an email from Gokce, and he said he'll run the lottery on the 26th with a start date around the 7th/10th of Sep.

Don´t worry we haven´t heard nothing yet
It´s a desert of words
Golke talked with wb and said "he'll run the lottery on the 26th with a start date around the 7th/10th of Sep."
But we only can run lottery if Gm sign in and pick a lotto number
since the start date is 7th/10th Floppy wont pick a lotto number till he is sure we only start on the 10th
We have 8 h time limit to make a pick and we normally start the draft after the lotto and we dont wait till the official starting date
Break also is @80% or so cause new work and the new kid ( once again congrats )
and there´s you - one of them got to step out voluntary ( you can forget floppy to do that ) for you to join in

"What's New for Fantasy Basketball '15
I.L. roster spot
New for 2015-16. We have added a roster spot for inactive or injured players.
2-week Championship
Coming soon to your head-to-head playoff settings, the option to have a 2 week championship round."

I would consider both
what you all think ?

We dropped il spots a few years ago, and it would be interesting to consider it. I'm on the fence about it.

Definitely not interested in 2-week championship round. The league finished a week early for a reason and even that has its problems with a lot of stars starting resting too early.

Manual IL just didn't work. This one might, I have to see how it is done.

When Yahoo had IL spots before (pre new CBA), it showed up as a position eligibility for a player that had missed at least 3 games (thus our 3 game rule when we went "manual"). I'm leaning towards being in favor of it, because last year, I had so many injuries, it would've made a difference for my team if I didn't have to use up those 2 spots. On the downside, it does dilute the waiver wire even further, but I think that's a minor side effect. So if we're voting, I'd vote yes on IL.

I'd vote no on the 2 week championship round though, per Woody's reasoning.

we are a few hours away from the 26th where the draft would be done but no ping pong balls picked by floppy or break

I don't think Gokce meant it would run at the stroke of midnight. As for flop break or Alci, I'm sure he'll just randomize their numbers

We have two tentative spots and three managers (AlciG, Break, and Floppy). Can we please settle this first?

I'm around. I'm cool with giving AlciG one spot, then just giving the last available ping pong number (randomized if need be) to Me/Floppy....then once the draft gets sorted out, and you hooligans leave Floppy alone by not rushing him, he has until that start date deadline of his first pick to make a pick....If he doesn't, I'll swoop in and save the day. :D

Even if Flopp decided to drop out during the draft, I have no problems taking over in the middle/end. It doesn't have to be finalized until all rosters get inputted on Yahoo! Team Floppydown Breakmoose!

My caveat to being involved is: don't expend much response from trade inquiries during the draft. (Baby and job-drama stuff.)
