Basilea made me lose a lot of money today, hope jewish knock out them next week. In fact they played good, but after being attacking all the game and score the 2-1 at 85 against a no-offense team and playing at home you just have to control the ball, open the field and let time run, and well, minute 96.

I really wish both teams could lose. I really wanted Leverkusen eliminated at this stage before the draw because Bayer is as thoroughly unlikeable a club as you'll find, without a disgusting fanbase like Zenit/Dynamo (Dresden and Berlin)/Lazio; and them getting eliminated here would mean that BMG get a 3rd of the BuLi's CL money rather than a 4th. That won't matter to FC VW and Bayern, but it would be a significant boon for Gladbach.

Unfortunately Lazio just so happens to be one of those clubs who are even more repulsive than Leverkusen. So I know that once the match starts their fans will remind me again why they are such scum and leave me rooting for Leverkusen (ugh)...especially without Klose. And rooting for Leverkusen sucks, really makes one feel for the 2 or 3 Leverkusen fans that exist in the wild.

Hoping we can beat CSKA in the 2nd leg. They're a very good team and we haven't had a good record against russian teams.

Seems like Celtic's throwing it away once again, being down 2-0 at Malmö with ten minutes to go. Too bad, given that they should've thrashed them in the home game.
Basel needs another goal or they'll be out against Maccabi and Rapid would need another one to achieve the surprise against Donezk.
Also, Monaco just needs one more goal to make it to extra time.

Beric misses a sitter that would've given Rapid the lead against Donezk. :o

What is up with Scottish teams just failing miserably against Swedish teams during Euro qualifiers? I swear this happens every year.
To Dare Is To Do? 13 League Titles. You've only got 2.

Well, Celtic just isn't that good anymore given that they've got no real competition in the league and they should've decided this tie at home were they absolutely outplayed Malmö.

And Rapid misses another one, just hitting the post. :o

Zagreb(4th pot)
Maccabi Tel Aviv(4th pot)
Donezk(2nd pot)

Are the five teams which qualified today.

too bad Basel and Wien didnt finish the job.
This opens up for yet another stupidily easy group in the group stage.
Wherever Shaktar falls being it worse if they are " lucky" and land at the Psv gropu.

Thanks to last nights results, pot 4 is also set.

It will include:

Borussia Mönchengladbach
VFL Wolfsburg
Dinamo Zagreb
Maccabi Tel Aviv
BATE Baryssau/Partizan Belgrade
KAA Gent
Malmö FF
Astana/APOEL Nikosia

Tonigths matchups will decide on Donezk and Sevila(in that order) either being seeded in pot 2 o 3. If both Manchester United and Bayer Leverkusen are able to move on, both Donezk and Sevilla would move into pot 3.

If either United or Leverkusen are eliminated today, then APOEL moves into pot 3. If on top of that, APOEL can't turn around the 0-1 from the first leg. Then BATE gets that last Pot 3 spot, and if BATE lose to Partizan as well it'd be Gladbach who get the final spot in pot 3. So all it'll take is 3 of United/Bayer/APOEL/BATE getting upset today and you'll have the pot 3 spot in the bag...

Well Pots this years are not gonna matter much.

The combination of the ridicule " first pot is for champions" with the rule that same country teams cant be in same group with spain having 5 teams is going to put so many restrictions that this will be barely a " lottery".
Groups will be more or less Pre-set-

You've got that wrong.
Pot 4 is set and Gladbach has no chance in moving into pot 3 given that neither Rapid nor Monaco could beat out their opponents. ;)
