Mauricio sent off. Not sure about that one but he has been begging for it all tie long.

So Lazio's down a man, needs a goal and subs out Felipe Anderson.

And United's destroying Brugge leading 4-0 in Belgium.

But who the hell should score for them and why do you need to sub in another cb even though you started three? :dontknow:

CSKA now up 2-1 thanks to a Doumbia goal. If it stays that way, they'll have to play extra time just like APOEL and Astana would have to do right now.

Astana scores at Nikosia and APOEL now needs two more goals within the last couple of minutes.
I doubt that happens so Astana will be the first team from Kazachztan playing Champions League.

Bellarabi scores the third for Leverkusen und they're qualified for the CL while Lazio will play Europa League.

Lazio have been a bit disappointing today. Especially, since they only needed to score once to basically go through.
Growing pains I guess. Leverkusen have more experience in international games.

Goal for Sporting called off because the cross had curled behind the touchline. Not long after that CZKA scored to go ahead. Now Sporting are down to ten men with time running out and a corner to get them the goal they need.

EDIT: And CZKA advance, but that disallowed goal is very controversial.

yeah i figured it after going over play by play, was bit odd because i normally dont get notificatons until goal is official.

Foye wrote:The reason is they buy all the young top talents from across the country with Bayers money for bargain prices while their own youth is not very good.

And they're not only able to do it because of Bayer's money but also because they contact young players extremely early. For those who don't know (Foye, you definitely do know, just to avoid misunderstanding), you are only able to sign contracts with players of other clubs without the other club's permission half a year before the contract expires. Yet Leverkusen gets in touch with players and their management roughly one and a half year before the contract expires, then makes **** offers to their clubs and basically tells them "take it or leave it, he is going to join us after his contract expires anyways". And more often than not, these other clubs are smaller teams, e. g. second or third division teams, that could really use some cash influx by getting good value out of a young player. So they basically fleece small teams.

I support every German team in Europe tough, so I'm quite happy that Leverkusen advances to CL group stage. Had a bad feeling before the match, but in the end, they played pretty well and deserve to go through.

Edit: Pot 2 is much more stacked than Pot 1
Absolutely hate this new rule.

PSV-Valencia is the only big difference between pots 1 and 2 *shrug*

Yeah it was very odd, took a second for the call to be made and there wasn't really any explanation made clear. It was the kind of call I'm not surprised confused some sports-notification apps.

Do you want the attractive opponent such as Barca or Madrid where you'll probably end up getting hammered or a more boring team like PSV where you have a realistic shot?

If I was a Gladbach fan I would be desperate to see likes of Messi and Ronaldo come to town. That's basically what CL is all about.
Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Toni Kroos, Pep Guardiola, Ernst Happel, Joachim Löw.

The club has already stated that they'd like to give a nice farewell to Marc-Andre ter Stegen, so Barca wouldn't be bad.

Though, thanks my brilliant skills in drawin the groups I came up with Juve, Real and CSKA as Gladbach's opponents.
