No way the girl wins, even if it did happen. There will be absolutely 0 evidence since she is suing YEARS later.

But I will always take the athletes side unless evidence shows actual guilt for the athlete. Innocent until proven guilty and there wont be evidence against him. Worst thing that happens is his name gets drugged (no pun intended) through the mug

His son was 9 months old, and he was rehabbing back from a second ACL tear. He was still engaged. When did he have time for this again?

Literally NOTHING about this story makes sense.

So she.....escaped (while drugged) from a potential rape. But they BROKE IN to her apartment? How did she get home (while drugged)? How did she escape three extremely strong men, including a world class athlete?

I'm not saying it ain't true, but...THIS PARTICULAR story (from TMZ) is bogus. I hate that I even googled Derrick Rose's name tonight.

I'd be surprised if this gains any steam at all.

Waiting 2 years means there is basically a 0% chance of a case going anywhere.

I really hope this thread doesn't go into a bash fest against the girl.

Let the legal system play out and prove whether her allegations are true, or falsehoods.

To get in a bash fest pretty much will sum up why women are scared so often to come forward because of the backlash they will receive.

Although I will say, if these allegations are proven false, there needs to be a civil suit in the opposite direction. It's hard to get the term 'rapist' away from your name, even if you are cleared of any wrongdoing.

Guys TMZ is more credible than you think. This isn't media takeout or worldstar or anything like that. He is definitely getting sued. That is a fact. Whether the lawsuit is true or not is a different story, but just his name being mentioned in stuff like this indicates something wrong with Rose.

His narrative/story has changed so drastically. Unreal.

I was kinda burned by Bill Cosby but at the same time, I still don't believe he did it toall those women.

With that said, the athlete normally always gets roasted in some way in the court of public opinion. But ultimately it wont matter if he isn't charged or convicted. Derrick has built up himself as solid grounded young man. The media doesn't hate him. He has never been a jerk. He may has said some questionable things but has always meant well.

If nothing comes of this, it will be long forgotten. Unless you are Joe Cowley who will probably take a front seat to this story and talk about it till the season starts.

I agree 100%. My personal opinion is that actual rape is worse than murder. And yes I know both are absolutely horrible. But there is literally 0 ways to prove this happened now, unless there is unknown video that has never been released. All he has to do is deny deny deny and he wont lose.

Anybody here who says he definitely did or didn't is a fool. Nobody knows. Fact is the woman is coming forward and it is a topic. I hope for both of their sakes that it isn't true and it is a money grab.

I'm gonna be so sad if this is true. A heinous crime committed by one of my sports heroes. Some of the story seems fishy but I can see why she would wait so long to come out. The backlash against "Jane Doe" already shows the lack of the benefit of a doubt women have in these cases
