Kendall Hunter making a run at a starting job?

Barring a development where Hunter's vision proves to have taken steps backward, he has far better vision and overall feel than I've ever seen from Bush.

@MaioccoCSN: The District Attorney’s Office has also charged 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks with misdemeanor sexual battery.

I've really liked Hunter since we drafted him. Injuries undid him the past two years, but I'd like to keep him. I think Bush is just about guaranteed a spot, but between them, for this team, I'd probably prefer Hunter.

Brooks charged....

another bites the dust....

They should just cut him now and be done with it.

I doubt he was in the team's plan beyond this season anyways and likely only on the roster this season because of all the exodus of players so might as well cut him and let Lynch and Lemonier handle base downs and bring Harlod in to take Lemonier's spot to rush the passer.

I have to wonder, for myself, if the 49ers are going to look to bring in someone?

Lance Briggs remains unsigned, not a fan of his now however with Brooks on the "block" maybe he gets a look?

Interesting tidbit:

Elway had Baalke had dinner together Wednesday night, and Elway said most of their talk was of the personal variety. However, Elway noted: “Obviously there are always different things talked about as far as teams, where we can help them and they can help us,” Elway said. “He’s done a tremendous job with the Niners.”

Broncos are shifting to a 3-4 D, and their projected starting RDE, Garrett Wolfe, is facing a four-game PED suspension. Von Miller is very close to TJE (admittedly a small point if there wasn't need at the position). I wonder if they talked trade there. I'd love to move TJE for something, and Denver seems like a possible landing spot.

I'd love to acquire something for TJE. I've wanted him gone since he was signed as an UDFA in '12. I'd accept taking on just about anything for him. Most likely a future (very) late conditional pick.

Plus, in my own personal projection, there are two more players on my list that need to be cut to get down to 53 and if they could move TJE it would open up a spot for a favorite of mine that might be on the bubble (Mike Purcell, LJ McCray, Kendall Hunter, maybe DeAndrew White, etc).

*barf*

Besides to being dead to me after the tampering fiasco, hasn't he only ever played in a 4-3 defense? In a 3-4 defense I'd see him as more of an ILB than a OLB. Plus he's only ever had more than 2.5 sacks once in his career, and 100+ tackles twice.

I'd much rather throw Lemonier to the wolves (ie: start) than waste money on Briggs.

I saw his under armor all-American game, he and Byron Cowart were the best defensive players from either team.

Daylon Mack - DL - Aggies

Texas A&M strength and conditioning coach Larry Jackson said that he has had to order new bars that can handle more weight to accommodate the needs of freshman DT Daylon Mack.

Well, that's impressive for a freshman. The 6-foot-2, 307-pounder was listed as the No. 6 player in the ESPN 300 ranking of high school recruits this winter. He's clearly up-to-the-task on the level of strength, though he's predictably unpolished in terms of the nuances of the game and will need to improve his pad level and pass rushing as his time with the Aggies rolls forward. His ESPN scouting report said that he is "built like a Mack truck." We're sure he's never heard that before.
