Hm, some LT fans are not the biggest JV fans. Just found one comment saying - can't watch JV play, he even runs like a narcissist. (paraphrasing)

Very true, we have not had any decent PG since Jasikevicius.. And it seems nothing gonna change in the upcoming years, nobody standing out in that regard among junior national teams.

I have plenty of friends, die-hard Zalgiris fans, who hate on JV mostly because he played for Lietuvos Rytas (biggest rivals in national league).

And lets be fair, Jasikevicius had terrible handle as well. And now we have young generation who grew up watching Jasikevicius, and they practice passing and shooting and all important things, but they still dribble the neck high... Ability to split the double team is mystic skill over there still, no one has tight handle.

1) those livescores are nice, however I've never managed to find the "source" or "root" for all games, which is bizarre... the other day I was trying to track scores from other teams and it was difficult to find boxscores... I only got the German NT team ones because they posted on twitter.

2) you're not Lithuanian?

zalgiris fans, even during NBA season some of them root for Motiejunas to outperform Jonas.

Young generations are taught many plays and strategies, coaches base everything on tactics. Junior coaches should let players play more individually, if they want to improve them, not stuff their heads with plays.

I agree. When you look at American school, even American scrubs who end up in China on Belgium are very good at handling the ball.

JV with 6 points and 7 rebounds at the half. Ugly game.

Greece - Netherlands play next, I hope some of you stick around. I haven't see a single Greece game yet, but I been reading Bucks board, and it seems like Giannis is a must see, added weight, haven't lost any quickness, plays mostly PF, block shots regularly, that kid is a beast. He and Spanoulis been killing.

He's still on the team, but coach decided to not register him. I'm sure he'll be cut from the team after this tournament.
