Can't watch the stream/awful WiFi. Can anyone give a impression of jv play? Improved? Rusty? Denomination? Domino's?

I wouldn't cut 33 if I was the coach, I think (its a tough choice). But with JV on the team, Kavaliauskas is kinda redundant ( you already have post scoring), I would cut him. Gudaitis is superior defender, player like him should back up JV.

Great on the boards, but is pretty rusty and slow. Same old, I don't see improvement at all.

Gudaitis is not a superior defender, Kavaliauskas is.

Is he? I don't know much about him, but I found it hard to believe. Gudaitis is a very good shot blocker, really good post defender, strong, can shield and deny the ball in the post very well, and is just very active on D. He battled Sofo and Boban in Euroleague and contained those guys without needing double team, which is a rarity.
If Kavaliauskas is better defender, he should be on a better team right now.

Both are good. And Kavaliauskas will earn 1.2 mln euros in next 3 years, which is decent money, that's why he stayed in Vilnius.

I have noticed an intresting thing. Jv was going in to inbound the ball the coach shouted "put the ball down on the floor and go to the offence". Just curious why do raptors make him inbound all the time and then run to offence while all the guards just walk there... Shouldnt we save our centers stamina?

And lets be fair, Jasikevicius had terrible handle as well. And now we have young generation who grew up watching Jasikevicius, and they practice passing and shooting and all important things, but they still dribble the neck high... Ability to split the double team is mystic skill over there still, no one has tight handle.

Young generations are taught many plays and strategies, coaches base everything on tactics. Junior coaches should let players play more individually, if they want to improve them, not stuff their heads with plays.

I agree. When you look at American school, even American scrubs who end up in China on Belgium are very good at handling the ball.

A lot of American pros grew up on playgrounds where the most celebrated skills are ballhandling, shooting the 3, and dunking.

Didn't look all that spectacular TBH. Was just average. Domantas Sabonis looked better, but of course expectations for him is way lower.
