People won't give him the benefit of the doubt. And almost every famous pro athlete on this planet is a womanizing "sleaze", and most famous people in general are like this.

I didn't discuss whether the case was provable, and people do think far worse of someone proven to be a sleaze then someone who's in a class of people who are likely to be sleazy but haven't been proven to be. I love that you have already passed judgement on this lawsuit.

For me, just the act of trying to prove my innocence is NOT worth it. If I wanted to, then I would have chosen much more aggressive language:

" We intend to couter-sue for defamation to the full extent of the law" AND,
" Quite often, athletes have becomes soft targets for people to exploit. We are going to fight for Derrick and his reputation"

There is no language/messaging that puts Derrick in a positive light --- only words that show the plaintiff in a negative light. Thats now how you fight this kind of battle.
