Germany are the current world champions and also the best NT in the world(healthy squad) so the song is nothing but spot on.

Like stated before, I guess Poldi can pop a beer belly and only play soccer every other weekend and still be called up by Löw. :rofl:

Uhm, It makes sense to pick Podolski because of the Poland game where he will be extra motivated. Remember the Euros in 2008?

But what can we expect from RealGM? Always the same agenda against Löw and Podolski who've both done so much for the team over the years.

Germany will never have as good a coach as Löw in our lifetime. The guy changed world football more than Guardiola did. He is the reason why German football become popular again. But hey, I know you all want the good old days with Rudi Völler back and 0-0 draws against Latvia and Iceland.

That is just so horrifically inaccurate, even for a Jogi-apologist. People say Pep is lucky to have come along with a great amount of talent, but at least Pep is creative and innovative in how he deploys that talent. Jogi has had an even greater talent advantage than Pep and all he has done with it is unsuccessfully copied what the smarter coaches do. Jogi is about as great a coach as Berti Vogts was in 96.

The reason our football is popular again is because in 2000 we completely restructured the youth system and funnelled absurd sums of money into doing so. Jogi has just been reaping the rewards of the talent factory that has been created.

But Poldi I'm ok with, he never plays any meaningful moments, is good for moral and is good-PR in human form. So wasting a spot on him doesn't bother me.

You are really overrating the "talent advantage".

Löw over-achieved in 06', 08' and 10'. The first 2 teams were bang average on paper and the 2010 side was quite young at that time. And there was still bang average players like Arne Friedrich and Piotr Trochowski playing key roles.

2012 disappointing, but he made up for it 2 years later.

Löw has been succesful in 4 out of 5 tournaments, and even in the one tournament he "failed" he still got the team to a SF. It was actually impressive when you consider the state of the Bayern players that summer losing a CL final at home soil.

Ronaldo and Messi combined has played 6 matches against Löw's Germany in major tournaments: 0 goals.

He is the only coach in football who has been able to stop those 2.

Look at the teams they beat those years, not many you could argue were upsets other than Argentina in 2006. Kinda hard to overachieve when you're only winning the games you're the favorite in.

Löw has won many games a underdog as well.

06' vs Argentina = Massive underdogs.
08' vs Portugal = A mediocre German side against Portugal with a peak-ManU Ronaldo.
10' vs England = Most people picked England to win this game.
10' vs Argentina
14' vs France, Brazil and Argentina = All 50-50 games.

Well, I wonder why CR/Messi cant burn Germany burn the same way they burn Bayern despite playing against the same players.

Before you use the RM-Barca-are-better-than-Portugal-Argentina argument you have to remember that Messi's goals against Bayern this season came from individual skill, nothing do with the team.

Yeah, argentina '06 is the only one of those we were actually underdogs for. Argentina in '10 and Portugal '08 were arguably 50-50s, but we were favorites over England in 2010 and in ever match last summer; though I was confident against Argentina in 2010 and expected to win.

I don't like it. Not at all to be honest.

Why is Zieler still part of this team while the much better Bernd Leno is not?

Rudy is not even a starter at Hoffenheim and a below average RB. He is nowhere near NT material and shouldn't get nominated anymore with options like Can and Ginter available. And I still think Jogi should rely more on a defensive line with 3 players (Boateng, Hummels + x) because of the lack of quality fullbacks and the excess of quality midfielders.

Regarding Podolski, I think he heavily benefits from injuries and other players not being in good shape and there is no obvious replacement available, so this time I'm not having a problem with him being part of the team. But hopefully, he doesn't cut into Volland's playing time.

I don't think I will ever find out why Zieler is a better keeper than Leno, Horn, Karius, Fährmann and Trapp according to Löw.
