Danny Salazar, RHP
Salazar was scratched from his last start because of a virus that caused him to lose "five or six" pounds. He last pitched Aug. 22 in New York against the Yankees.
vs
David Price, LHP
Price is a 4-0 with a 1.98 ERA (8 ER/36 1/3 IP) in five starts since joining the Blue Jays. He has allowed two earned runs or less in 15 of his last 18 outings overall and has been everything Toronto could have hoped for and more.
Cody Anderson, RHP
Anderson will be making his second start since being activated from the disabled list. He threw 75 pitches in his first start back, and he will have an increased pitch count this time out. He has never faced the Blue Jays.
vs
Marco Estrada, RHP
Estrada has allowed more than three earned runs in just one of his last 13 starts and has a 2.42 ERA over that same span. The 32-year-old has been around for eight seasons, but this will mark his first career appearance against the Indians.
Trevor Bauer, RHP
After a home run-filled stretch through July and early August, Bauer has found renewed confidence in his two-seam fastball over his past two starts, leading to more ground balls and fewer homers. He’ll look to keep that going against Toronto.
vs
R.A. Dickey, RHP
The 40-year-old knuckleballer has thrived since the All-Star break, going 6-0 with a 3.07 ERA in nine starts. Dickey has thrown eight quality starts in his last 10 outings.
