Weird or interesting thing about Scottie was he really didn't seem to get much better at nova in the 4 years he was there.
Went from being one of the top handful of players for his age perhaps in the world to one of the top thousand or so maybe?

Yes, Mr. Robot is the best show on tv. There's nothing like it. The last couple of episodes have been amazing.

It is the human condition, particularly in modern times, for people to walk around thinking themselves to be good men and women. We *think*, without much proof when deeds are inventoried, that we are generous, kind, good people. In reality, we are all quite human, failing often to do good when we have opportunities due to selfishness, vanity, or because it's just too hard.

Then, there is a slight, gentle man from Plains, GA who we recall walks our Earth with us. A man whose life is completely defined by a dedication of service and humility. A man who, when it's time to move on, will be responsible for more good in this world than 1,000 of the rest of us. He is a good man. A Godly man. A man who I wish our society held up more as a role model.

Regardless of who you worship, if any deity at all, that superior being looks down tonight at Jimmy Carter and is proud of the work he has done -- and continues to do -- on behalf of humankind.

Godspeed, President Carter. Thank you for everything you've done in your life and I and my family pray for your full recovery.

Speaking of the Washington football team, RG3 looked god awful last night and the team doesn't look all that much better than last year save for depth at a few positions(loving Matt Jones at RB and we got some speedsters at WR).

Get ready for another 4-12 season.

Visited DC last week from NYC, I went to a Nationals game with a few other NYers. They pointed out the Nats logo is almost exactly the same as Walgreens.

Yes I realize it existed before Walgreens, but after an hour of pointing out old baseball card montages on the wall it was irrelevant. It's almost exact, I had zero defense. Word to the wise, dont take a Bronx native to a Nats game. Annoying, but amusing.

The stadium suites though were great! Just wish the stadium had a view. Not sure why they didn't direct the view towards downtown?

Its sad how things have gone. In 2012 RG3 was a God here. I don't think I've ever seen an athlete as loved in this town as RG3 was that year, myself included. But then that playoff game vs. Seattle, it all changed after that, for the worse...

The ESPN 30 for 30 will be sick. you KNOW they'll make one. "What if I told you...that a star that shined so bright(cue highlights of RG3 dominating)could fizzle out so fast(show images of RG3 getting hurt).

I don't know, I don't really think its the same.

For one, Gil was dominant for a longer period of time. RG3 went from one great year to two absolutely horrific years.

Secondly, I don't think the fanbase ever really turned on Gil the way they turned on RG3. IIRC most people wanted to see him back healthy and were willing to give him second chances.

That's true I guess, but I feel like Gil's downfall was slower and stretched out over a longer period of time. Could just be my memory though.


Soo labor day weekend, taking tomorrow off to go to the beach for three days. Last hoo rah of the summer.
