More importantly, it looks pretty bad right now -- too loud, too undignified, too clown-like, especially in conjunction with the red tones. The effect is sort of like a nuclear-irradiated Ronald McDonald.
They go on to compare the texture of the black unis to trash bags--
Yikes
loooool ESPN, good they hate it cause that trash bag is how I feel about a lot of their employees . Bunch of frontrunning jerks.![]()

It's ESPN who cares, they've never cared for the Hawks before and they won't now.
I like them.

A bunch of old white guys like me doesn't like them. That can only be a good thing.

Re: New jerseys in the making?

I was asking last night what the pattern was supposed to represent. I guess this was the answer:
"Triangle pattern meant to represent an attacking hawk in a V shape"

That's racist...I think.
You should take an indefinite Leave of Absence effective immediately.

Re: New jerseys in the making?
So I was reading on Yahoo that they (Hawks) were talking to millennials about how to make their uniforms more appealing, and how to attract a younger demographic. You know what would make people want to watch the team more than "Swipe Right Night", Oregon uniform ripoffs, and stuff like that?
As a "millennial", I can say that an exciting superstar and winning would make me want to watch the team more than all of the other garbage that they're doing.

Well, previous market research believed attracting fewer blacks would help increase the number of rich, white fans to games.
So this is a slightly better direction.

Meh.
I'm still on the fence. But Hawks fans seem split.

That's an incredibly stupid strategy.

Re: New jerseys in the making?
Hilarious article about our new jerseys over at Grantland. If all press is good press...we're okay. Cause reaction has been everywhere.

Yes. That's kind of the point. H3ll...that's why we have a new owner today. That strategy was so stupid, it toppled millionaires and led to wholesale change in the organization.
Also...it happens everywhere. I believe the term for it is gentrification.

Re: New jerseys in the making?
I get the pros and cons with them, but I'm glad fans and non fans dig em at least. They were due at sometime since 07.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

It's 50/50 in almost every message board/article or media outlet in the free world about these new jerseys.

Re: New jerseys in the making?
Definitely do not like them, but the third one with the letters ATL.
I believe that ATL creation was great, and the "dent" in the A is right.
Of the other ones, I do not like neither the color, much less the style of the letters. Toooooo thin for my liking.

Chris Vivlamore: Was told that adidas, Nike and UnderArmour are all creating basketball shoes with coloring specific to Hawks’ new uniforms.
