The woman who called the police last night to say she had information on the cop killers in Fox Lake. She said they tried to carjack her and started a massive search right near my house. Then she comes and said she lying and did it for attention. I mean, there a lot of nutballs out there. Emotionally and mentally unstable people who do crazy things every day. Men, and women.

Not sure what literature you're referring to, but obviously among cases can't conclude anything about, some will be true and some will be false accusations. Do you disagree?

From that study, we can't conclude anything about the 59%. That's why I pointed at other studies (Kelly et al 2005), which have examined police reports to determine which accusations are likely to be false. You can get that study on Google Scholar.

What's your definition of "extremely rare"?

The journalist simply pointed out that it would be a mistake to conclude that 90-94% of accusations are true, which it would be.

Extremely rare is less than 1%. It's something you very rarely ever encounter or come across. 6% isn't extremely rare. Maybe the false accusation rate is 10%. 10% of people are left handed. Is it "extremely rare" to be left handed? Or gay? Or whatever?

I think the what the journalist pointed out is meaningless since that study focused only on cases labeled as false accusations. Other studies have looked at the "no crime" cases.

If that's your definition of "extremely rare" then we can classify it as just "rare". In any case, I haven't seen any serious (and large study) which goes beyond the 1%-10% range.

In any case, I think this debate has more than played out.

Almost every athlete in town has been in one of them as well as out of town celebrities like Bieber, kanye, Miley etc. And it pretty much looks like they take their pick to go home with them after words if they are out with just the guys...they seldem get kicked out of clubs early, nor leave early so it all happens at the end and in plain view with the lights on as the club is closing. They've hit on me so I know what they say. They are pretty much rude and even mean. They grab you and fondle you as they are paying their bill as if they own you. Some of my friends have gone out with them after and to some of their birthday parties. I've gone to one birthday party myself and never fell for that ever again. Just not important to me to hang out with jerk celebrities and its not because they didn't try. So take it from me. Ive seen it. I know how they treat women. And i've been very careful with my wording because I've never seen or heard of anyone that got raped. But i see how it can easily happen to anyone because they feed women drinks and shots all night long and usually one more more in their group is also rolling, or on other drugs and offering that too.

So the tremendous amount of opportunity is there. Tons more than the average Joe.

So if a regular guy...even an average looking lawyer or Doctor, if even that guy might have trouble picking up 10-15 "strange" per year. But an average-to even semi ugly athlete? He can pick up and many as 3-4 girls and take them home per night. And generally the girls are willing to even fool around with each other and him. Average Joe generally has to be nice, a gentleman. Average Joe, generally has one house or apt so he cant sleep around too easy if thats what he wanted to do. Average Joe often has to be focused on one girl, take her to dinner, and maybe a 2nd, 3rd or 4th date before he "scores."

And thats a big part of the reason that the wealthy and famous are bigger "targets" is because well some of them sleep with 300-500 different women in one year. Where as regular "single" joe down the street is sleeping with 3-4 women that he knows. That he likes. that he wants to see again. So avergae Joe is likley to be nicer. More respectful. Lots of average Joes only are hook up maybe 1-2 lucky times per year, Thats it. And average Joe is nice and respectful and thankful.

So who is going to be a larger target for a rape accusation? The jerk athlete sleeping with 300-500 different new women per year treating them like a piece of meat that they bought and paid for or the nice guy down the street sleeping with 1 or 2. Then keep in mind that some (not all) of these athletes and celebs treat women like a piece of meat. Purposely select drunk women or get them drunk. Or women rolling etc. These athletes make all kinds of BS promises...i mean the crap that comes out of their mouths...I mean there is nothing more ridiculous than new money as it feels the fallacy of "power" that they think their new wealth affords them.

The guy that says, "oohh baby, I really like you, come over-I really like you and then proceeds to tell you to sleep with his 4 friends and then maybe you can sleep with him? "The DJ is coming over to my house after words, come listen." Meanwhile. No boat, no plane, no so and so, no after hours. Just that guy and his butt buddies from high school that think brushing their teeth is optional. Trying to force shot after shot down your throat so you are incapable of making a decent decision, and incapable of saying no because you really have no clue what you are doing.

If you are drunk out of your mind, and you thought you were going to go hang out on a boat, or private after hours hours with a certain celeb and instead end up with 4-5 weewees in your face when you are completely wasted...how on earth is that consent? And how on earth can anyone defend that stuff? Because that is what happens. A lot.

And this kind of thing happens waaaay more than its reported. most women dont have the stomach to fight the lawyers of the wealthy. And a lot of these guys are from the streets. Their friends can also be very threatening once its time for you to "be on your way."

If Rose and his buddies did this sort of thing to this girl, I hope and pray she has the goods on him to corroborate her statement and has the stomach for the fight.

scary story. I suppose here part of the story is Rose's "friends" there. The dynamic between the sports' star and his posse, them being parasites feeling like they won the lottery and wanting more and more, the sports' star having to demonstrate his power and prowess more and more to his crew (quite typical male groupe domination trait), etc.. Could lead to pretty gross things without the sports' star nor his friends, drunk or drugged up, realising that what they are doing is way way out of sorts..

It is. But, I'm just trying to make a point of how many wack jobs are out there. My neighbor and good friend is a cop in Lakemoor and part of this ongoing search. He told me that the amount of idiots just looking for somebody to talk to or looking for attention would just shock most people. They get so many bogus calls and leads. What that woman did was make over 100 officers, federal agents, K-9 officers, and a massive amount of resources rush to an area and spend hours searching over a lie.. This was at a critical time in the investigation, the first 48, and she may have cost us catching the murderers of a police officer. All because she is a mental case looking for attention..... THEY are not uncommon, at all.
