People aren't considering how good he is at getting deep post position. He doesn't need as many counter moves as he can get to his spots better than other big men, which is one reason why he's the best big at scoring from the post.

Calling Simonas Baranauskas a reporter is a bit of the stretch. He is right tho, JV has no moves in the post.

I like Val but I have to agree.

He looks shaky in the post. I rarely feel confident going to him.

I think the solid analytics are because of rebounds, put backs, passes, etc. Not because he is an elite post player yet.

J/k, he is probably correct. His moves are already decent, he just needs to improve his composure and comfort level of executing them.

Fesenko looks good for sure but is also the focal point of Ukraine's offence albeit he has been very efficient. JV has similiar FGAs because of tip ins. Both guys playing well.

Like an earlier poster said above, he gets deep position in the post so all he really needs is to do is go over his right or left shoulder. His sweeping hook shot is effective too. He's not hakeem or even cousins and he doesn't need to be. Take that jumper more tho, that'll take his game to another level.
