Nothing new here. It is lithuanian tradition to start any tournament with a horrible game.

Don't like how Valanciunas still plays defense with his forearms instead of with his body.

Horrific positioning. If you're between the man and the basket, then forearms can be effective. Bad positioning, so Fesenko had an easy path to the rim.

I was just looking at the boxscore and Ukraine only had 4 threes for the whole game, and the only player who hit more than one was their PG with 3, so I really don't understand the criticism.

Lithuania wasnt trying to match their small ball tho. JV lost his man twice on d and was replaced with more experienced Javtokas.

03:29 M. Korniyenko - 2pt tip-in made(8 Pts)
03:32 I. Zaytsev - 3pt jump shot missed
M. Korniyenko - offensive rebound (5 REB)

Zaytsev was the one JV had to defend, but he left him completely open at 3pt line two attacks in a row, was benched after that.
