well sure...but why in the world would Minnesota trade him?

He's on a rookie scale deal for 2 more years, he was their second most utilized player (total minutes) last season, had the most Win Shares on their roster, and his age and game complements Towns and Wiggins'. He is very much a key part of their future.

...if anything they'll look to move Pekovich once Towns settles in

You Never know,if you offer them fournier and nicholson may be they would trade dieng.

cmon you want them to give up a really promising young 7'er (9.7 PPG / 8.3 RPG / 2.0 APG / 1.7 BPG / 17.2 PER) that they need and is a good fit --- in exchange for a back up wing that is a free agent next summer and a player who couldn't get off the bench on a lottery team? lol... sure hey you never know

yeah Fournier isn't going to get you Dieng. Good shooters are easier to find then good and promising young big men. And Nicholson doesn't bring much value if any at all. Plus both are free agents and they very well might not even want Nicholson back at all. Why do that for a guy that you control long term and has bigger upside than either Fournier or Nicholson.

The timberwolves signed euroleague mvp nemanja bjelica, who is a great frontcourt player,so may be dieng s playing time is going back.a trade could be possible

Bjelica is a nice prospect forward, but in the NBA his role will be limited as he has trouble defending either forward position in Europe and that doesn't bode well vs NBA level players. Not that it really matters, since Dieng has gotten 91% of his total NBA minutes at center. Bjelica is not taking minutes from him at center.

Rudez, also a forward, will be lucky to crack the rotation much less take many minutes from Dieng...

Why can't you understand that the TWolves need and value Dieng? If the Magic want him, it will cost them a good player that is not about to hit free agency.

Maybe but why do you want Dieng? That is the same reason why the Wolves want to keep Dieng. And Bjelica is a question mark and isn't any thing they can for sure count on. Plus he is more of a PF where as Dieng is more of a center. But still we aren't going to get Dieng for Fournier and Nicholson. Sorry but I don't think Minnesota would accept that. We would have to include more and even then I don't see Minnesota wanting to trade him. He is on a very cheap deal so there would be no rush to move him even if Bjelica does better than expected. The guy they would look to move would be Pekovic. plenty of PT for all.
