There was a draft Keef movement? I recall a lot of fans here being on the Kawhi bandwagon, Faried also had a lot of supporters.

Man it's hard to look back at that draft and justify that Kieff was the right pick... here is a list of notable players drafted after him...

#15 Kawhi Leonard
#16 Nikola Vucevic
#17 Iman Shumpert (also had a lot of buzz from the Suns)
#19 Tobias Harris
#20 Donatas Motiejunas
#22 Kenneth Faried
#23 Nikola Mirotić
#24 Reggie Jackson
#30 Jimmy Butler
#38 Chandler Parsons

Cleveland should trade Kevin Love to us for Keef. They can then sign TT, keep LeBron happy, and be out of cap hell. TT can start and Keef can back him up. I am sure Keef would love that.

That would put the Suns way over the cap. And the Cavs haven't signed TT yet because he wants the max, and he's not worth that much. Trading Love (which can't even happen until December) isn't going to change anything.

My bad, it's not always easy to tell in an online format, especially since there have been trade proposals much worse.

You topped that with your laker phase.

Hahahaha - nice one.

Still, Laker for Life, etc.I started out as a laker fan but fell in love with the Suns that playoffs when they came back to beat LA. (Remember that game when Kobe refused to shoot?)

It was easy to hate the Lakers then - that little dick Sasha.

I really wish you hadn't posted that -

At the time, no one was high on any of these guys as I recall. The one i really liked was parsons, after the tourny. But I had no idea he would turn into the player he is.

The bog question was - Keef or Marcus, and I promnoted Keef

I wonder if Suns could swing any deal for Rubio if he's really on the block?

And it was suppose to be a terrible draft. It turned out pretty deep.

NBA is fining Keef $10,000 for publicly demanding a trade. Good. Someone else weighing in.

NBA trade demands made directly to the team by a player or his agent, without a public statement, is NOT a violation of league rules

The NBA, remember, has been fining players for making trade demands public since the 2005-06 season. "Public" being the key distinction

We drafted Lopez over Ibaka? I thought Ibaka was taken with one of the picks OKC got from us for taking Kurt Thomas off our hands?

Fantastic! Well deserved! Now, let's see if it's really #FOE--if it is, this $10K won't matter, and he'll keep publicly making trade demands.

Someone who's a fan on this site, who has twitter, please relay that sentiment to Kieff. Something like:

"If it's truly #FOE, you better continue with your public trade demands--$10K or Marcus, which is more important, Kieff?"

So since the twins share a bank account, technically they each got fined 5k.

I've never been on the "We must trade Kieff for anything" wagon, but this whole drama is getting very old, and just generally deflating. If I feel this way, then it's gotta impact the feeling around the team as well.

I hope the rest of the team doesn't put too much thought into this ordeal.

There is a chance that what was done/not done in the offseason will once again end up impacting the product on the court in unforeseen ways. (Aside from likely having a downgrade at PF).

This all just makes Hornacek's job infinitely tougher. Hopefully once we get past this mess, McD can only add players with high character to the team and players that fit well together.

10K is pocket change for Keiff.
Should have been more like 100K.

Ibaka was drafted with our pick, Lopez was drafted with the ATL pick.

I don't remember any discussion around Ibaka back during that draft. I do remember discussion about McGee, Hibbert and Jordan though as other bigs we could have gone after.

Ibaka would have been perfect next to Amare. Basically would compensate for Amare's weakness yet still stretch the floor.

Queue for Zero Tolerance to come looking for some Kieff news only to see Ibaka discussion.

I remember seeing some talk about Ibaka, but it wasn't for his three point shooting. He shot only six total for his first three seasons.
