Who will win in their respective primes: Fedor 2005 vs Jones 2015(2011?).

Assuming Bones doesn't wrap his car around a pole while driving to the fight, he wins.

great fight. im gonna lean fedor in ring and jones in cage

fedor was a blown up LHW fighting giants. his 3 losses dont count to me bc he clearly dgaf by that time. even in his win against rogers prior to those losses it was obvious that the invincible fedor was gone. he fought like a washed up wanderlei, bum rushing and trying to get out of the cage as quick as possible whether he gets ktfo or his opponent.

jones is a real-life dhalsim who fought a lot of true middleweights but he ragdolled them all pretty badly.

The Fedor from the first Big Nog fight (2003) was an absolute terror. Never saw a fighter before or after be so relentless and fearless when fighting such a highly ranked and respected fighter. Big Nog at the time was widely considered the best pound for pound for fighter and almost universally considered the best HW and Fedor just tore through him like nothing. His speed, power, explosiveness, aggression and cardio were off the charts. Considering how good Big Nog was at the time it's the most impressive thing I've ever seen in mma.

I can't imagine anyone having what it takes to beat Fedor on that night, cage or ring.

Jones easily IMO. His reach and athleticism would have been too much, even for prime Fedor.

I suspect most of the Jones votes NEVER saw Fedor in his prime...

He did what Rousey is now doing, grab ya throw you down and beat the crap out of you and/or submit you.., he made it look THAT easy!

Except it's not relative to competition, it's a straight up, head to head fight.

It's a credit to Fedor that this is even a reasonable question, given the generation gap between 2005 and 2015.

IMO Jones more likely win - 60/40 overall, 50/50 in the ring/ 70/30 in the cage.
