No way they will be in this position again. Liking how aggressive Wiggins is tonight, the one thing I do like him is when he has a bad game or does poorly he's pretty good at turning it up after.

Woah, what? There's EIGHT NBA players on Canada's roster. Their average age is 24 years old. No other team in the world excluding the obvious one has that kind of pipeline. None.

I find it hilarious when I get these melodramatic articles coming in my feed from Canadian news outlets acting like the sky just fell down. Canada is the 2nd best team in the world on paper. That's fact. People can talk all they want about how experienced the usual powers are (Argentina, Spain, France, etc.) but the truth is those teams are over the hill and struggling to find new talent. That much has been obvious watching Spain and France slog their way through Eurobasket against younger upstart teams. Despite the common perception "team system > individual player" trying to grip the modern basketball society. Stronger individual players correlate better in increasing chances of winning games than good team systems. It's common sense, and the statistics bear this out year after year. It why the team lit up seven straight opponents even with a **** tier coach like Jay Triano. If I were to bet on Canada standing on the podium with a silver medal come next summer, I'll take that bet six ways from sunday. Is there a chance they choke and don't even qualify? Sure, but the chances of that happening are significantly less than the former.

I meant they will be too good of a team to be in position get a bronze in future Fiba Americas. They will be taking silver, gold, or not participating at all.

Do people not see how absurd it is to make program altering decisions based on one game? Who would want to be involved in a program like that?
