Conley dropped kind of far. He was my top consideration at 52, but his drop off and injury at the end of the year last year scared me away.

yeap he dropped, but just a tad. his stats have been trending downward and his injury proneness probably made it happen.

floppymoose wrote:If we are going to add a rule around pick times, I suggest this: the recipient of a pick traded that is on the clock has the greater of:
1) The remaining time had the pick not been traded
2) 1 hour
to make the pick.
That basically insures that trading a pick doesn't push the clock too far ahead. If someone is in a position to confirm a trade to receive the current pick, they should be able to make a selection (or another trade) within the hour.

We actually had this issue a few years ago, and the resolution was that if you made a trade while on the clock, the clock would not reset for the person who received the pick.

We also have a rule that consecutive picks count as one for the purposes of the clock, thus 8 hours total.

however, we do not have a rule for what happened this morning. Technically, Fran had 8 hours to pick 52 and 53, but traded 52 with a couple hours left. So technically, he still had only a couple hours to pick 53. However, when he was first on the clock, he did not have pick 54, so technically, he should have inherited Alcig's time for pick 54, meaning that he had only a couple hours for pick 53, but 8 for pick 54. But, Using the consecutive picks rule, he then would have had either 8 hours for 53 and 54, or the remaining 2-3 hours for picks 53 and 54.

Either way, I think Floppy's rule makes the most sense:
If you have 2 or three picks in a row and trade away the first (on the clock) one, I think you just have to get a fresh clock when your next pick comes up. I don't see much of a way around that since you don't control when the other person will act.

All I have to say is that the point is moot since Fran picked in plenty of time...not to mention, he's the most active person in this league, so if he needed a little extra time, he probably deserved to get it.

thanks. I too think he should be solid. I even considered trading up to 45ish to grab him.
Probably will be back to top 35 form. Change of scenery is always a risk but there are a lot of touches to go around in Charlotte, I'm not worried about Batum surpassing his measly 8.5 fga per game last year. and if he goes above 12, then I should have nothing to worry about. Though his assists may fall a bit because we are talking about Charlotte.

Obv i agree with floppy

Like I told been a difficult afternoon
- I burn my finger while taking my lunch out of the oven
- I waitted for my wife to get home since she´s a nurse and was leaving her job by 2pm in the afternoon
- after she treated my finger
- I went out to work from 3pm to 6pm Had some clients to buy houses
- thing is and you can check by reports there were rainning like hell all afternoon tons of accidents and i only arrived around 6:30 pm where i went to make my final math to make my pick and made them before the champions leagues game

I dont know if i m the most active but i try to do my best always I know its a different style you may like it or hated one thing i cant understand is ****´s like this " new rules " cause it favors me. the funny part is the guffaws when i give heartburns to others cause of play for no money fantasy. Oh my oh my !!! Last season and for the 1st time we add a new rule at the end of the season: There was a tradition to put the champs name when fantasy is over ... I beat two of the 3 fantasy mods so new rule

#heartburn #1point #Guffaws #newrule

So, it looks like we should have a rule on sandwich picks. If you have 2 picks separated by 1 pick from another manager, and that manager picks within 10 minutes of your 1st pick, then your clock does not reset for your 2nd pick

Obviously, it was wishful thinking that he would drop to 62.

Umm no.

If I make a pick I figure I have at least 8 hours before I have to pick again.

Crap... I knew it was too much to ask for you guys to let him drop to 67... I should have kept 54 and taken him there

Looks like we're going at a pretty good clip here. At 10 picks a day, we should be done around October 10th, which falls during the preseason. Though it would be nice before preseason starts (since games can affect player values), at least we'll be finished before the season starts...

Hey you are making a bad analisys
it´s not the 1´st cmon lets say 100´ish picks that are difficult to make and where you win championships that shouldn´t take to much time imo
right now and looking at other years draft I were something around 13 picks per day
and then by the end it droped to 8 or 9
Look at this pick now it´s almost 6h on the clock ... but hey we have differents time zones and thats the biggest problem

I m sure you are going to say over to finish oct 10th and under oct 22th
