Real Madrid will basically buy whoever is going to be the star of the Euros next year.

I'm not sure if Reus is a true Galactico. Is he big enough etc.

True, I'm not sure either, he's probably right on the cusp, but still, do you see him going to a club like MU? I highly doubt it. Bayern seems more likely.

Reus can play on the right wing just as easily as he can on the left. him and depay wouldn't be a problem together. in fact, they'd be a PROBLEM for other teams.

where are you guys seeing that we turned down a move for him?

David De Gea has re-signed with Man Utd!!!

I just heard that he's signed a new 4 year deal with an option to extend it to a 5th year.

God I'm pumped right now! One of the best keepers in the world and still young... I was sure he was gone during the transfer window, but could not be happier to have him stay with us!

Is it official?
Edit: Yup, it's on the team website.

Wow that's a strange story. Didn't expect that at all. So desperate to play?

I'm sure that one of the english rags is running that, or something equally as absurd. Ever since Gotze left for Bayern they've needed a new BVB attacker to pretend is available. Usually it's Reus, though Auba got some rumors made up about him to this summer. And if Miki maintains his form I'm sure we'll here them trying to sell stories about him during the winter window or next summer.

After Shaw's injury today I had a hard time watching the game although I finished it. I could tell some of the United players were scared of going into tackle after seeing Shaw like that. I don't blame them. I also had a double fracture on my left leg playing soccer so I know exactly what Shaw has gone through and is about to go through. I don't see him coming back this season. It took me around 4 months just to be able to run again and even with world class medical attention, the emphasis LVG puts on fitness and just being 100% means we're looking at at least 6-7 months for Shaw to be fully recovered physically and mentally. Just a damn shame since he was finally hitting his stride and looking like one of the best LBs in the world. I wish you the best of recovery!

On another note, this United team's offense is just awful.

Terrible injury to Shaw, who was having such a great season. I've read comments elsewhere where people think it may end his career, or at the very least that he wont be the same player when he returns. So taking off our Man United fan glasses, what do you guys think is the most likely outcome? Does he return and be as good as new? Does it severely impact the way he plays? Does it end his career?

Two things;

A) How come manu fans really happy that de gea signed an extension. Dude was literally let me go mode. He said Real Madrid is the biggest club and he wants to leave manu. Now manu fans are happy this douche stays with them. It is ok but how do you digest those words? Okay manu sucks for like 3 years but this is epl's most successful club in the world. If someone doesnt want manu, gtfo.

B) shaw will never be the same again.

yeah, it is what it is, losing ronaldo numbs you a bit
de gea is easily one of the best goalies in the world and i like having that type of talent on the team
and other than headlines, i dont pay much attention the the press, or interviews etc
footy isn't covered like that here in canada, and i dont really hunt for much in depth stuff
although i do love finding things explaining tactics, that stuff is all new to me

I'd say a part of it is there's empathy for someone who wants to play in their home country and be close to his family.

He's also been their best player for two years and no one really wanted to see him go. He also could have walked after this season and Man U wouldn't have got anything in return so it's probably the best scenario for the team. If he's committed to Manchester, I'll take it.

Horrific injury to Shaw. I don't know what the recovery is like on a break so severe but hopefully he can get back to where he was or near. His speed was his best weapon and if he can regain that, he'll be fine but no idea what the likeliness of that is.

they say usually breaks are not as bad as tearing ligaments, i think he'll be fine

It seems now that Schweinsteiger and Rooney are both injured as well. Anyone know how long they're expected to be out?

United haven't won a game since November 21st when they beat Watford to climb to the top of the table. Little more than a month later they have fallen to sixth place and have lost four straight (bounced from CL by Wolfsburg, Bournemouth, Norwich, Stoke).

LvG's job is on the line as the squad takes on Chelsea, who sacked their own manager recently, tomorrow.

What does everyone think United should do about their boss? Is it time to move on or hope they can turn it around under Louis?

Great start to 2016 for United by taking 3 points over Swansea City, although giving their supporters a heart attack in the process.

Also got to see Rooney get off the schneid netting the GW.
