Sad to see him go. Looked like he had a promising career that was derailed by injuries.

I still think he has a good NFL future but I don't think the team needed or wanted to wait around for Hunter to get right as there was no room for him anyways.

Hyde and Davis are clearly going to be the main backs going forward with Hayne being the "different" back and have his own set of plays he'll be used in.

He looked really really slow in preseason......I guess that would count as a change of pace

Still a chance he could latch back on with us after a while even though I doubt it.

I really liked him and its disappointing with the injuries as he had some upside there.

If say Bush is down and out and Hunter is available after the alloted time i wouldn't mind signing hunter back on again.

That's too bad- was hoping he would be back to his explosive self eventually....
Any reason on the timing? Curious why they couldn't just wait it out longer.

Maybe they just didn't want to cut him sooner? My guess is the team no longer has a place for him. Mike Davis looked good during preseason, is younger, and fills Hunter's role on the team.

I have a feeling that he asked for it because he knew he wouldn't be playing and wanted a chance to find another team.

Hunter and Lattimore could have easily been our top two guys and now they're both gone. I'll be the first to admit I thought we have had a tendency to overstock RB's but now I'm glad we did. I still feel confident in Hyde, David, and Hayne.
