Kobe receives 100% clearance for all basketball activities

Post#1 » by Slava » Thu Sep 17, 2015 8:11 pm

For the beginning of what seems to be the end, Kobe Bryant is strong and ready.

Bryant's recovery from his latest devastating late-career injury, a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder, is complete—and he currently has no physical limitations as he gears up for what he expects will be his final NBA season.

Bryant has been medically cleared for all basketball activities, according to league sources.

After his body has taken him to basketball hell and back over and over in recent years, that's as much as Bryant could have hoped would happen for him this offseason.

The potential for one last Kobe Bryant hurrah is possible.

Swan Song. Time to give your all mamba.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Sit him out on back to backs, and he might actually make it through a full season.

All I ask this season is for everyone to stay healthy. Don't care what our end of the season record is, if we're dead last, come in 4th and lose the pick, make the playoffs. None of that. All I hope for is a healthy season. For everyone, especially Kobe. Would hate too see him go out on another injury riddled season.

He'll play some back to back's. Don't think he'll miss all of them.

Lakers will probably be cautious with him at the start of the season. But come second half, Kobe's ego and the Lakers opportunity to make the playoffs will definitely alter things.

Kobe must use September to acclimate himself to basketball activities slowly. I have a feeling that Kobe did a 10 hour workout the day he was cleared. Age gracefully. Don't over do it Kobe. We need a full season.

Good to hear. It's a shame how disrespected he is on the general and player comparison boards. Hopefully he does sit out some back to backs.

Its going to be a special season. Kobe's last and Dlos first. We reasitically wont be winning anything, but I hope we stay competitive and healthy. There is no Incentive for a tank so I'm just glad ill be rooting for a win every game this year.

Definitely. I'm sure ill see a better player in my lifetime, (hopefully on the Lakers), but it'll certainly be different. Too many countless memories. I still find myself watching random youtube videos, cause there is just so many of them.

Countless hot quarters and amazing comebacks
Countless clutch takeovers down the stretch (2013 season especially)
65 vs Portland 62 in three 81 vs raptors
Too many 50 plus games to remember
Last game vs Jordan
12 threes vs Seattle
We need a Kobe youtube videos thread where we talk abut specific awesome games of his

A undervalued favorite Kobe game of mine:

Background: this was the year that the west was amazing. Every team in the playoffs won 50 games and the hype was real that any team could come out of the west. The nuggets had Iverson and melo and while they werent expected to win by any means, they had a tough confident team that definitely thought they had a chance. JR smith and K-mart (who did a great job guarding Kobe in game 1) got into it with Kobe all series. Kobe was of course just off that MVP season where we got Gasol, and just seemed like he was ecstatic to finally have a decent cast around him. He has an emotional moment in the fourth where he just goes crazy celebrating and its possibly my favorite Kobe moment ever... pure emotion.(9:40 I the video) Of course JR gets into it with Kobe and Kobe goes right at him and embarrasses him, with the announcers going crazy

He simply dominated the whole Denver defense and dissected it perfectly... the best balance in terms of Kobe being aggressive and Kobe making his teammates better that remember.

Edit: my bad Reggie and Marv announcing not Jeff van Gundy and Jackson... probably mixed it up with another game

Just a joke. I put Kobe as high as MJ. Kobe, MJ, Magic are my top 3 all time players.
