World Peace has been working out with the Lakers for several weeks.

**** you Ryan Kelly .. **** you Robert Sacre ... Hope I never have to see y'all bum asses play again; Metta with a foot in the grave is still better and more watchable.

Nice to see Jim and Mitch actually using some damn common sense and he laker way. They drafted the small like they were supposed to in the same vein as West, Magic, Goodrich, Kobe, and Worthy in Russell. They brought back a former champion and every day competitor to help teach actual skills and that losing is not acceptable like they did with Fisher. Green, and Scott for their second tours. They didn't throw stupid ass trash one year deals at guys like Wes, Lin, Xavier, this summer and got actual role guys in Bass and Lou.

All we need now is a real medical staff and real coach

Um... yeah. *yawn* I guess the only reason they're not signing Kareem is the heart thing.

Will get a chance to show what he's got left in the tank throughout camp with this non-guarantee, but regardless of whether or not he makes the team, he should be a solid veteran presence for our young guys.

We'll probably pick up one more person for camp, maybe Telfair if the reports are true. Anyway, I see us carrying 15 to start the year:

Russell/Huertes
Clarkson/Williams/J. Brown
Bryant/Young/A. Brown
Randle/Bass/Nance/MWP
Hibbert/Black/Upshaw

We'll designate Holmes and Frazier to the D-Fenders and waive/trade Kelly+Sacre. Will see A. Brown, Nance, and Upshaw spend significant time in the D-League as well

I'm not thrilled with this signing. All indications are he's washed up. I'm hoping this is more of a training camp signing to give the young guys a tutor during preseason and nothing else.

If he shows he still has the strength and speed to play in the nba, then ok.

Ron Ron mentioned that he's still one of the best SFs in the NBA ... Can you guys imagine if he returns to the level he played with HOU and Sac? This move has championship motives... Ron is one of those guys you need in the playoffs... I can't wait for the season to start.

World Peace averaged 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game in China, give the Lakers a third of that to backup at SF is good enough.

One year non-guaranteed contract. It's not all bad. Some of you are overreacting.

He is still better than Wesley Johnson (and arguably Xavier Henry).

Ron infusing toughness to the Lakers roster might make a difference in the Lakers making the playoffs...

Even if he doesn't make the roster, just having him for the training camp sets a great tone from Day 1.

And if he proves to still have something in the tank, then more power to him. It's not as if there's not dead-weight already on this team.

Man, this is going to be an intense pre-season. A lot of competition for minutes/last 4 roster spots.

I actually hope we don't cut Kelly to accommodate someone else. That 4 spot is already plenty crowded. Kelly in the right kind of role, playing his natural position is a good, cheap asset.

All you gotta do is read the MWP interview with Mark medina to see just what type of value MWP will bring for Randles development.

Anyone with an issue with this signing please read the article and then realize that for now it's just a training cap invite, should put things in perspective
