He started last season and averaged 9 and 3 on 40% shooting.

Wait there are are people that actually like Marcus game??
What is there to like? His always looking to score, thinking he's an elite 1-on-1 guy, bone headed iso moves, never passing and if then exclusively to Markieff?
There is barely any one player in the league I dislike more to watch than him...

Word. Even when he'd yet to show his ass, I winced every time Marcus got on the court. He doesn't make exciting basketball plays, but he also doesn't make his teammates better or improve the team on either end of the court. Not only is he not great at anything, he's also not particularly good at anything. And his go-to move (dribble right, dribble left, pull up from 20) is both boring and bad. He's like Swaggy P, without the emotion, range, excitement or occasional hot streak. And he doesn't work hard, either. In Marcus all I saw was an obstacle. He's **** P.

Idk about perfectly. I'd like them to at least comment on it. The most we've gotten so far is from Hornacek and that was some b.s. about teammates playing for each other. McDonough & Sarver have been very quiet and as a fan I'd like them to come out and say Markieff's behavior is unacceptable and it isn't what being a Phoenix Sun is all about.
McDonough is finally on the record but doesn't say much other than they expect Markieff to be a professional and play.

Just read the Markieff tweet:
“I don’t accept apologies, you did what made you happy at the expense of my emotions and I understand but I won’t respect it.”
Never heard of a 7 foot 250 pound man with $40m being such a baby.
I wouldn't be surprised if he created a profile here to respond to this like 'u da baby, u got no respect, u get hated #foolishness'

I am fine with what he said, but only if he is working the phones behind the scenes to make a decent trade.

Where is the 7 foot 250 pound man??
If you are referring to Markieff he is 6'9 at max on a good day.

Well if I saw him I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 6'9 and 7'0.
Either way he's physically huge and mentally not so big.

It's like the season when everyone expected 25 wins. It's a good signal

Thought still unhappy in Phoenix, @Keefmorris will report to Suns’ training camp next week, per sources.

What happens to Hornacek if we do finish 11th in the West?
I think this is the last year of his contract.
Does he get a new one?

If we finish 11th next season Hornacek should be shown the door immediately. Include Babby in that outgoing package. Start fresh.

Unless we are very very bad to watch, I don't see Jeff leaving. People within the organization really like him, including the fans. I personally would like to see him with a better roster. He's not to blame, neither is the front office. Sucks the West is so good.

Re: Suns Offseason Thread V: I Am My Brother's Kieffer
I do not believe in the two point guard system. I see no way it can work. Logically it makes no sense. Can anyone name one champion in the history of league that won with a two point guard system? I cannot. Why Hornacek implements it, I will never know. Hornacek was an excellent player but his coaching leaves more than a lot to be desired. And Idk whose idea it is to have the dual point guard lineup, Hornacek or McDonough, but either way it is an awful idea moving forward. Plus, the three point guard lineup from last year is arguably the dumbest idea in the history of the league. Why not put three centers out there. It was beyond stupid. Last season was wasted for basically an experiment by the coaching staff.
Anyway, I have zero confidence in this organization now. I have lost it completely. Maybe Dragic was right. How can anyone trust this organization anymore. They kiss Markieff's ass while he badmouths them. They keep on signing more and more players and people scratch their heads at the signings. There is constant roster turnover every year dating back to the past several years. What is the direction of the team? Stay mediocre until a disgruntled star becomes available? Is that seriously what McDonough and co. are banking on?
I am calling right now, if the team does not get rid of Markieff immediately, the season is over before it begins. Most fans, (not some fans on here), including myself, hate him and want him gone at all costs. To hell with his game. That guy is going to happily destroy the season and McDonough and the rest of the staff appear willing to let it happen. The entire situation is insane. I have never been less excited for a Suns season in my life.

Isiah Thomas and Joe Dumars won a couple of championships.
John Stockton and Jeff Hornacek made it to the championship twice but lost to Jordan and his dynasty.
Kevin Johnson and Jeff Hornacek made deep playoff runs
Read this article ... you will see the Suns (fourth winningest team in league history) have won many of their games using a dual PG system. http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2015/9/19/9351191/Phoenix-Suns-history-of-the-dual-playmaker-system

It's just ridiculous to break it down to "2 point guards can't" Point guards typically run the offense, but many teams have other guys running the offense and also have a point guard, thus they basically have two points. Miami with LeBron AND Wade as ballhandlers AND a point guard. MJ and Kobe ran their teams, but were not what people called point guards, but for all intents and purposes, they were playing point, and those teams also had "point guards".
Simply put, you need talent. It doesn't matter what you call the positions. You need the best TEAM on the floor. If it works it works, if not, it doesn't. If we don't win a championship this year, it's not going to come down to playing two point guards. It's going to be because we don't have as good as talent as the other team. Hornacek has shown he can get the most out of players to make the team better than the sum of the parts as long as McD puts a team on the floor that makes sense doesn't concentrate all of our talent in one place.
