Winston could turn out fine, but still wish we had taken Mariota. You can clearly see how good he is with the zone read. Winston still makes some terrible reads. LONG season ahead. :nonono:

Mariota was playing against a defense that wasn't prepared (ONCE AGAIN) and was shredded up with ease because of it...

The Buccaneers having a terrible offensive line, and a defensive scheme (That is out of date) and defensive players who don't actually fit it are making the team look much worse than it is. Lovie Smith might not even last halfway through the season. Its clear that the game has passed him by...

Winston had flashes of Brilliance... (He has the Brett Farve Gunslinger mentality)... But He needs to be put on the bench... Its going to hurt his development being a starter of a team that doesn't know what its doing at this point.

Some old Bucs. I'll pass on TB as I have for the past decade.

Seriously? We're you watching? Yeah our horrible defense made him look great, but he was staring down his WRs and going with his first read, same offense at Oregon. Spread QBs don't last long in the NFL. The Bucs defense should have recognized that and forced him to throw to the outside. I don't know what's going on with Lovie, this defense with some of the additions should be better than last season, but it's not.
I'm more disappointed in the defense in this game than Winston, who is playing behind a terrible O Line.

And side note, it's the Bucs have had a really bad O line the past couple of years, and Licht and Lovie haven't done much to improve it.

I'm not a Bucs or FSU fan but I would back up off the ledge when it comes to Winston. His o-line and defense is terrible. There is no way Lovie is making it through this season. Winston has a gun slinger mentality and his decision making needs work.. He is never going to have an Aaron Roders esque TD-INT ratio.

I have Doug Martin on my fantasy team, I was hoping he could turn out to be a solid flex option but that's not happening if the offense keeps falling behind by 20+ points.

As far as Mariota goes.. Impressive week 1.. But I'd wait before crowning him as the next great one.. Look at RG3

So I drafted Julius Thomas late, but with my last pick of the draft took ASJ as a fill in until Thomas is back. Picking ASJ got me the win in Week 1 since I only won by 5 points! Happy with his performance. Hope Winston keeps looking in his direction!
