I'm not sure why either team would do that. TWolves already have a star at SF.

George is 6'10 and 230, he is perfectly fine to play the PF, and Bird is right about the offensive mismatch and all that.

PG needs to look at this opportunity in a more positive light.

He's not nearly been as down on it as quoted. But, I think more than anything, he's just a bit nervous about it, but more than willing to see how it turns out.

I think it would be a mistake to play him exclusively at the four. PG will have his doubts until the rotation becomes clearer. at this point we don't even know how much we'll match up and how much we'll try to force the opponent to match down.

I want to see Lavoy Allen get some playing time.

I would imagine that we won't truly see Paul George play the "pure 4" in the old school sense of the word much, if at all, this year. More often than not, he'll get a ton of PF minutes, while really just playing in a position-less lineup that lacks a true old-school 4. When Cleveland runs out Kevin Love or Lebron James at the 4, I'm not seeing Paul George matching them up as PG playing 4, as much as playing the matchup he should be playing....while in doing so, he'd be playing the 4 by default.

That, too. I think Lavoy has definitely got to be in the rotation with the 3 year commitment they gave him.

I watched a little of the live stream on media day. Don't know how much if it they kept online. Lavoy Allen showed a terrific sense of humor in his interview.

He's always been a good humored guy, and talked about as a great locker room guy. When ESPN once ranked him as the worst player in the NBA his rookie year, he made a ton of jokes about it, still to this day (when Shayne was ranked the worst player in the NBA last year).

I expect PG to guard LeBron wherever he plays. so when LeBron plays the 4, PG will too. the beauty of having PG regularly play some 4 is that when the defensive match-up requires him to defend the 4, he can stay there on offense and the other Pacers will be used to running plays with him there.

now if Love is at the four and LeBron is the three, I'm less sure what we'll do. I suspect PG will play 3 some of the time guarding LeBron but it wouldn't surprise me if he guarded Love some of the time as a 4 with Solo guarding LeBron at the 3.

I think we'd throw bodies at LeBron a bit, but I think PG13 is going to body up LeBron, Carmelo, Durant, etc, wherever they line up on the court.

I'm watching the first half of the Pistons game and PG13 doesn't look like he's struggling at the 4 at all. He'll be fine, and when he thrives he'll like the move.
